Agreed.... Looks like they've chopped out the bits that don't rust away :)

Makes you wonder if it would be possible to replace the cut out parts from a scrapped one and register as a new car. Probably easier and more sense than taking all the good bits and transplanting on to an old one.

Obviously unable to be driven on the road however all the running gear has only done 14km! Ideal for someone with a “Princess” project or other project looking for new running gear at a reasonable price. Engine is 1800cc.

Never been registered and no warrant of fitness.

Must be picked up. Engine starts, runs well and the unit is mobile but no guarantees as it has been virtually sitting idle all its life. Brake fluid reservoir is damaged.

Running out of room for our new vehicle displays so something had to go out of the storage shed.

Even though most of the body is missing if this were in the uk it would be in front of a white background.

And despite the missing metal it would still keep out more water than an SD1.

Get it over to Triple Rich's place. If they can restore the likes of that annihilated Escort Mexico shell, they'll have that Princess back to a usable car within the week.

Wouldn’t break it up. I’d have it as some sort of ornament.

same it would be a shame to break it for parts, I always found Demo units/cutaways and weird "engineering sample" stuff like this really cool :)

if I was one of those lucky people with actual money it would make for a really cool mantlepiece item/conversation starter :)

im kinda curious how it racked up the 14 Kilometres it has on it now LOL

A princess with AC , was that even an option here in 1980.

I think the AC and Sunroof features are taking the piss out of the "extra ventilation'.

What's stopping me from using this as a very plush half-Mini Moke apart from the government redtape?  :P

I saw a Hillman IMP engine/transaxle fully cut away... GR8, you could do 'another' OMGHGF from the inside.

Since nobody else has said it , /pistonheads mode- " didn't they come like that from the factory"
