Now arriving Friday, due to vehicular congestion at Col towers.....................Temp gauge doesn't [TADTS,] front and rear bumpers could do with repainting, apart from that........drives really well, nothing like a 150k miles car................ a re-map may be on the cards............

I had the 1.8T lump in an Audi A4 a couple of years back and the temp gauge sensor had failed. It was under £10 for a new one and it's right on top of the engine. Replacing that restored functionality to the temp gauge in short order.

Weirdly, the ECU took its temperature readings from another sensor elsewhere (of course, because VAG) so it still ran fine.

I've just changed the temp gauge sender in my 1.8T. Seems to need one every three years or so. Five minute job though.

As usual with car manufacturers.............subsequent facelifts just get more and more gopping................original concept is usually the best.......
