At this point I threw a big woman's huff and decided to sell the car. The ungrateful prick that it is.

[GASPS] No!

I too have a wet footwell (Again) so feel your pain.

Be thankful that it's not antifreeze.

Nooo. I need to come to South Shields before this goes! Just to experience it once...

Likely, 'if' you can get the likes of the wibbly wobbly bit from the top of a gearbox oil bottle - fed through the factory 'down void' and wobbed sealed at the scuttle end...

Mebbies :/

Have you tried looking in through the hole for the side repeater?

Yeah, I saw your thread man. I'm counting my blessings. £90 valve to fix it? If happily pay £90 to make this fucker water tight again.

Wob it up completely? It'd just pool and rot out.

I've not, no. Where does that go?

Posted

Apparently you may be able to see UP into a blockage of that drain, and if it's blocked there it pours into the footwell.

Push the indicator to the front of the car, then out from the back.  If that makes sense.

Errr... NO >> the tube makes a watertight conduit from top to bottom [sealant around top to stop water shortcutting into footwell through your current failed hole/vent] :)

No, he means to fit a liner

..... have you seen posts on the fix for my wet carpets in mine?

Much like an airline, I haven't got one.

Incidentally, if anyone wants to take in on loan, fix it and return it at a later date, I would happily SPEND.

Fixed mine, once is enough... OLLI :)

How about one of those aerosol cans of compressed air, feed the tube into the hole, block around the top of it and give it a good blast?

*Watches for ticket price.

There's an air compressor here, and I don't mind helping out. Pop over if you like.

And a wet vac too.

Air horn and frighten it out?
