Mid life crisis purchase made bymiddle aged man shocker..

I'm sure I should be able to tell from the shape of the mirrors, or something, but which engine is it? I have a friend who's girlfriend took a turbo on a track day at Goodwood, we were running times within a couple of seconds of his well sorted E36 M3.

This must surely be one of those cars destined to rocket in value over the next 10 years or so. More details please.

Nice! I fear I've missed the boat with these. Look forward to seeing how you get on with it.

So what you got left in the garage then? Fiat coupe*, Espace coupe, ...?

** turbo free I hope. Best rear lights of modern times on these.

The crisis car is a 16v turbo...

I quite recently did compare the performance figures of a 20v Turbo with the ones of a '73 2.7 Carrera RS.

The Fiatsco is faster in very aspect.

That's an absolute honey. Well bought!

A really underated car in their heyday. I like the two parallel slashes above the front and rear arches.

Very nice I like these a lot I’m pretty sure this a 16v because of the age .

The non turbos aren’t really that fast but who cares when they look that good.

Very nice. I wanted one of these in the blue or grey for my 40th some years back but things didn't go to plan. It'd have to be a 20v turbo. I've driven a 16v one and Cort16 is spot on, looks the part but really not that quick.

That looks nice and quite right whoever above said about the value rocketing - definitely going to increase!

Mechanic I know has a yellow turbo - he has gone right the way through the car and remapped it, installed bigger nozzled injectors, front mounted intercooler to name just a few things and it is a machiiine! Ridiculously fast! I’m not a great passenger so not sure what it would blow away but bloody unreal.

Best bet though....as I’m sure you will....would be to keep it completely bulk standard :)

Sploot!

These are gorgeous, especially the dashboard.

Need some interior shots to confirm.

These are just lovely. A most excellent purchase.

Numbers 12, 16, 21 and 28 please (yeah right lol)

Fabulous stuff.

??? Thought these were all 5 cylinders!

You get both 4 and 5 cylinder so 16 or 20 valve.

The 20 is a tad quicker, but bought this one on condition...

Ooooh very nice! My mate had a red turbo one a few years ago, was a lovely thing! Will show him this so he can rub his thighs nostalgically!

They do seem to be on the up value wise too!

VERY nice. Haven't seen one in forever.

Check your oil pressure! If that's a 16vT (or to be fair any turbo Fiat) you'll be forever checking it so get used to it now. Great cars, 16vT uses the same twin cam Lampredi engine as a Lancia Delta Integrale, so plenty tuneable if you fancy.

I also spy a Renault Avantime in the background...

Yes let's talk about that blue honey in the background. Yours?

The Fiat is a stunner by the way, I hope there's no tin worm knocking about!

Love these, I love how the coloured stripe wraps round the dash

I have heard a lot of jobs are engine-out time though
