The second best thing out of Sweden.. I really hate exhausts

I'm dropping off the Ford Streetkak this morning and moving on to collect some new shite.

My bag is packed... A roll of gaffer tape, small tin of WD40 and a 2 litre bottle of water for either automotive usage or human consumption. Cleared my wallet of crap and made sure Mr RAC is front and centre.

Time for a spot of collectioneers breakfast. Coffee is fuel for the soul.

Daily limit on account where car money is stashed away is £200.

The banking fiasco means I have a bit of time to kill. It's not a long distance collection so I'm going to call in to work and sort a few things out before continuing with car capers.

I'll be playing fuel warning light roulette later on this morning.

I'd actually check that the bank is still there before you go...

I thought everyone kept an emergency £400 in the house in case they needed to buy a car real quick.

Be prepared for the worst.

As the old saying probably goes.

You can also get cash at atms from credit cards these days. Not ideal but handy in an emergency car buy situation.

The cash withdrawal limits are killing me every time. Fortunately the seller of the Celsior trusted me enough to give him the rest in an envelope on the next day, slipped underneath the door of his brother's back alley repair shop, totally not looking like a money exchange for substances less legal than 1.7 tons of Japanese bliss.

That's a fuking fair point!! When purchasing a vehicle recently I dicovered my local branch (9 miles away) had shut for a re-fit. Which meant I had to travel a further 15 miles to find a branch!!

OOOOO!!!

I know this one!

You have to do a change of keeper, then wait for the new V5, THEN do a change of class, then get another V5?

At least I did last time this happened.  The car was sorned as well, which meant I couldnt tax it in the intervening period.  Which was nice.

At least if its showing as taxed you'll be safe leaving it on the street.

"we'll give it a valet before you collect it"

The interior plastics have been liberally sprayed with some glossy, sticky evil smelling poundshop gloop.

My hands are sticking to the fucking steering wheel. Fairy liquid and water would have done a better job.

Still..... At least I'm on the road and heading for the post office.

Car is running well enough.

Which is a good thing. This was meant to be in the bag and on my drive about two hours ago.

Last time (only time) I bought a car registered disabled I had to rush to a post office in Swindon at 1645.

Hadn't ever been there before.

Even tackled the 'formidable' roundabout whilst in a blind rush.

Fun and games right?

Am road legal!

Lovely lady in the post office knew exactly what to do. New logbook will arrive in due course with the appropriate class change.

as much as I admire the shite hero status of this - it’s expensive and really kicks your credit rating in the balls
