When she asked you to take her for a drink that is probably not what she had in mind!

 no complaints were filed , i call that a success.

Back to this "what makes you grin" business ...

My photography skills, took a number of good pictures yesterday.

Small things amuse small minds :D

Check out the carton-based non-fizzy efforts too

Rubicon Guanabana drink is tops! Hard to find it though, suggesting I might be in the minority on this.

I've never seen that. Can't be much good if it contains real fruit juice. Fizzy pop should be 100% mineral, unadulterated by animal or vegetable.

Don't want to turn on Milford on everyone, but do we really need to see a can of Rubicon four times on one page :?

What makes me grin though - long distance drives on relatively quiet roads early in the morning when the sun is out. Left home very early this morning and did Burnley-London-Milton Keynes-Derby-Burnley andrather enjoyed at least the first part.

Got home from work in record time today, hardly anything on the road... I belive it may have had something to do with OMG!!FUTBALL!!!

Made me smile too, until I hit roadworks..... with the "workers" reading the paper etc. Wankers.

Getting my neighbour's petrol strimmer working for him is making me smile. Not only does it now work, but it revs to about 15000 RPM. The smell and the noise of the two-stroker really took me back to my youth.

I made sure to return it ASAP as I was having evil thoughts about barrel&bore kits, 7th transfer ports etc!

The sound of a V8 RR Classic rumbling up my road (woman driver didn't look too bad neither)

I dont usually have a lot smile about but for the first time in a while I have.

Had an insurance renewel letter from my current insurers drop on my door step today, bearing in mind I have been paying £500 this year for a classic policy. Opened letter from said insurer to see quote had jumped up to £2060

Got on the blower to them to see if it was some sort of joke, apparently I was no longer entitled to some sort of "scheme" (?) that allowed me to be on a classic policy :? Told them fuck off and I wasnt going to renew with them.

Shopping around got me nothing, classic insurers didnt seem interested, normal policies were £000s +

Suddenly I got a call from Lancaster (a few minutes before I tried to get an online quote) had a chat to one of thier advisors, who advised me on a few points and made ammendments. The quote for me then was, Fully comp, for the whole year £262 :D I'll have that!

Hopefully It'll be sorted by Monday as I need to pay the deposit, but hopefull if all goes through, I'll be one happy chap.

I had a policy with Lancaster on my Porsche for 125 pounds. I think they're the best for classic insurance.

My local paper had a the headline the other day, man electrocuted in electricity substation has been charged.

I'm grinning as I'm off to Newmarket nights this evening to watch Spandau Ballet and I'm in the premier area which mean vip treatment! (But I have to wear a suit  )

Bought a radio for £5 from the scrappy without a code. Went on the internet, posted the serial number and got a working code within 1/2 an hour for free! Yay!

Courtesy of 109landys I've been watching; a-to-b - Over the moon with a Cavalier. Felt sorry for the guy with the Maestro.

Thanks mate! :D

Karma. This afternoon I followed a newish A6 3.0 TDI along the dual carriageway. As you might expect the twat tailgated between the speed cameras. On and off the brakes and throttle intimidating everyone out of his way. This went on for a couple of miles or so. Until he closed up on what started life as a base model MKI Astra. You could almost hear A6 man sneering at the shite in front of him.

Astra man did not move. He built up TDI man’s frustration for just the right amount of time before taking off like a scalded cat. TDI man attempted to give chase but his attempts were futile. Astra man backed off and repeated the exercise another couple of times by which time TDI man’s ego was sufficiently bruised to give up.

XE and LET conversions aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but they ain’t half effective :D

I'm happy 'cos it's Friday, I've just been payed, I spent a few hours with Claim jr and I'm now getting pissed.

Mark - what happened to quitting the drink ?

Remember what the doctor said

Glad you got to see the little dude, hope all is well

The doctor said alcohol was empty calories. I beg to differ as every one of them is full of delicious goodness! Besides I don't drink as often as I would like to 'cos I've been working hard for the last month and turning up to work with a hangover or still pissed from the night before is not an option.
