Lots of autoshite, but... what is the car on fire?!

Looks like a heavily-disguised Lada estate... :?

A shortened version of the 10 minute long work of genius from 1972 - Hallogallo by NEU!

The video that somebody has made up for the 'Krautrock' Karaoke Klassic is KLASS IN A GLAS. Key moments to look out for are the wreck of a Standard (possibly a 10..) covered with kids, A Daf, and loads of over Seventies rammel.

Enjoy and keep em peeled...

I'd like to see the Americans remake some more of our classic sitcoms. Preferably the really edgy stuff like Take A Letter Mr Jones

who would play rula lenska's part?

cher perhaps?

Maybe. IIRC the opening credits had plenty of early 7 series BMW action.

The bloke who uploaded these originally got the films from me via a mutual trade a while back. Wasn't expecting to see them on Youtube given that COI and BTF own the respective copyright and I bought them legit like!

Anyways:

/\/\ Looking at the films that AXR has posted links to above. The same bloke has posted another BTF film on youtube. This one is called 'Diesel Train Ride' from 1959.

I've seen it a couple of times as it is on one of the BTF compilation DVDs I have. The music is certainly memorable. :D

The legend wot was Gerry Marshall in a typical '70s Supersaloons race:

As an added bonus, his road car looked pretty epic too - a vomit coloured VX/Ventora with massive chin spoiler FTW.

Have some 'British Transport Films'. The BTF churned out many films back in the day. Most are available in boxed DVD sets put out by the BFI.

Here are a selection that have been posted on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GXJureordg Work in Progress (1951) - Newsreel footage of transport projects in England and Scotland

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymz6D8eFeUg Snowdrift at Bleath Gill (1955) - Rescue of a snowbound goods train

Snow (1963) - More of the white stuff

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXwHsI4n0Ko Dodging the Column - Transport by road of 130ft distillation column from Greenwich to Grangemouth

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCQVEINg ... re=related They take the High Road (1959) Part 1

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpTf9S_0 ... re=related Part 2 - Colour film about 'British Road Services' in Scotland. Includes 4 blokes living at a railway station for 2 years whilst they spend everyday driving cement up to a dam project

Overture One-Two-Five (1978) - Promotional film about the Inter City 125

London on the Move (1970)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WG1uRu9sPiw Wash and Brush Up (1953) - How to clean your steam engine.....

An extract form the colour 'travelogue' - East Anglian Holiday (1954)

Rush Hour (1970) - Speeded up film of Waterloo

The Nine Road Part 1 - London Transport Route Nine

The Nine Road Part 2

Robbie (1979) Part 1 - Educational film for schools presented by Peter Purves about the dangers of playing on the tracks. Enjoy the football while you can, son.

Robbie Part 2

'Robbie' was a replacement for the earlier schools film 'The Finishing line' but that was deemed too harrowing as it scared the shit out of the kids who saw it. I prefer the 'Finishing line' - It's about a boys dream of a school sports day that is made of 'games' that they play on the tracks. They stopped showing due to the kids all getting blatted by trains.....Here is the first five minutes, by the end there's hardly any kids left.

I have these on video - they belonged to my Uncle Tam, he served his time at Albion in the early 60s.

Le Ballon Rouge.

I first saw this film as a child and my mum still has it on video from when it was once shown on Channel 4 (early days of the channel) She showed Ickle_Seth today so I was reminded of it. Obviously, someone's put it all up on YouTube. Filmed in Paris in 1956 (in colour) with quite a few random street scenes with traffic of the period.
