Vin Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Amazing bit of cine film from 1969, showing a Wolseley 1500 meeting it's maker...Love how they 'siphon' off the fuel using a pick axe... Sudsprint, richardthestag and warren t claim 3

richardthestag Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Scrap-age Scheme 1960s style Whats the reckoning that the 3 year old Mk1 was rustier than the 15 year old MkiV?
Vin Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Did they fill the tank with water first? Yeah, I missed that bit... Doesn't make much sense to have a full tank when you're scrapping it...
richardthestag Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Yeah, I missed that bit... Doesn't make much sense to have a full tank when you're scrapping it... Slightly less sense than having a Fag on while you are emptying it chaseracer and Vin 2
Sudsprint Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Scrap-age Scheme 1960s style Whats the reckoning that the 3 year old Mk1 was rustier than the 15 year old MkiV? I kept expecting Emma Peel to appear and save the old Jag just in the nick of time. Junkman and brickwall 2

phil_lihp Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 That Wolseley scrapping video is brilliant, although the process looking incredibly slow and inefficient by today's standards. A modern-day H&S bod sent back in time would probably have had a stroke before they'd even got as far as setting fire to the interior or mashing an axe into the fuel tank. Not my era at all but surely that Wolseley can't have been that old in 1969? Edit: Made from 1957 - 1965 according to Wikipedia mind, so I suppose it could have been up to 12 years old.
richardthestag Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 verdict, make cars out of trees for maximum strength vonmon and garethj 2
Lukas Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 They did not invent that annoying "SUV for the city-jungle"-thing for the recent SUVs. The Yankees did that in the 80s...
richardthestag Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 After watching NNNTG VW Golf GTi farce at Das Ring where Sabby overtook £1mio of parked cars! How about beating 9 F1 world champions at Das new Ring The story the Race
Lukas Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 It seems, the Espero is able to conquer even the MB W126 when it comes to the sound of its doors closing: What it until the end to know... Oh, and I might start to visit Jazz-clubs: I have to admit, at the beginning I thought some korean lady would start a striptease when I heard that music...

garethj Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 ROFL at that BMC film on the Autobahn, I'm sure it's not just coincidence that every in-car shot showed them overtaking a Volkswagen. I say, we'll give those damn jerries another pasting, what? Junkman and eddyramrod 2
