I nominate this......

The Astra MK2 Estate......I had one of these many moons ago when I was younger, G Reg....Silver 1.4 L.....I ragged the shit out of it every where, loaded it with all sorts, from a huge honda diesel generator one time, to assorted car parts, engines etc....It just ran & ran & ran.....3rd gear foot to the floor was a big buzz for me back then.......Ahhhh Happy Days.

..N.ow for the exam question.. what's the difference between an estate, tourer and station wagon?

Same car, but British, wants to be European, American?

WCPGW?

How?  Just how?

How?  Just how?

Just jack it up at the back after driving on the fronts, slip the ramps under the wheels, remove jack, eh voila!

Proceed to dice with death, job done :)

Think the Westminster is the home made Langrish one which has a tailgate from a Yugo if I remember rightly.

Another stillborn one, the Opel Commodore Voyage:

It was shown once, at the 1968 Geneva Salon, then disappeared.

Meanwhile a few clones have been built.

Some estate shite I haven't seen posted;

photos_volkswagen_passat_1991_1.jpg

Pisshat B3 VR6, apparently. Looks mega

...but unfortunately possessing such a glass jaw for an estate car of its size that it beggars belief:  the rear suspension turrets.

A car of this size should be able to move furniture that is only slightly narrower than the tailgate opening and as long as the load bed.  It can't.

Not a single convertible estate yet, have a Humber. 4 wheel drive without dual range so bang up to date.

Then again the Morris has 20" rims and six of them.

That's it then, done.

Now for the exam question.. what's the difference between an estate, tourer and station wagon?

Same car, but British, wants to be European, American?

Each one is just a variant of one another... ;-)

In Australia, it’s a station wagon, or just wagon for short. If you used any other word you would just get weird looks and be asked “what the hell is that?”.

I think my Ford Ultima 2.3 auto was pretty bloody good

Wouldn't happen to be this one would it?

If you include people carriers, my Toyota Hiace import super custom, 3 litre turbo diesel auto

The reason I ask is because this was parked just a few yards up the road...
