Ouch Skoze!! Is that a job for T cut? Never had a bird shit mark that bad before from recollection..

Got loads here your welcome to if you want to try.

Me neither, it's brutal. That photo was after a polish and wax as well!

I might take you up on that offer one evening next week or something, anything's worth a shot - there are 3 of them on the roof :(

I still don't know what Twitter is for. It seems mildly more useful than LinkedIn, but that's like saying Katie Price is mildly useful on Question Time.

Anyway. My festival of shite has largely fallen on its arse, seemingly because the good people of Autoshite rightly ignore it. I've had fun raiding my photo archive though and may unleash more shite tomorrow. Then on Saturday, I'm buying more shite and on Sunday, tinkering with more shite. That's my idea of a festival.

I don't have a twitter account:)

I also don't have a twitter account, I'm not sure what it's all about, but most people use it, therefore I don't want to use it.

Gotta say I saw some right yummy stuff heading in a West Sussexly direction today, wish I was going to the FoS, it's expensive but bloody good.

A load of the people i know use "snapchat" which, from what i can deduce, is taking pictures of people/random shit but with the ability to scribble on them with the magic of internet crayons............. The fact these people are allowed to not only vote, but worst still breed is frankly depressing.

I also hate the idea of that.

Me and swmbo use snapchat, usually for sending rude pictures to each other when SWMBO is on a night shift and I get bored... Is there another use for it? Pointless app if you ask me!

Snapchat can land you in a whole world of shit for that very reason! Best avoided.

The people I need/want to communicate with have my number, that's what it's for. Social media is a millstone.

I use snapchat, the main bulk of pictures that get sent and received are interesting cars and funny things so it's a winner for me

I sold my Fiesta a couple of weeks ago and the buyer came to collect on Tues. A young couple really into their cars so glad it has gone to a good home.

It only had a couple of months test left so I retested it while they were on their way.....not part of the deal but I wanted them to be happy with it and the car was for her

It went complete with Autoshite dealer sticker and I told/warned them about this place as he is interested in getting a mk4/5 Cortina

Got 2 types of T Cut here, one is the standard stuff and the other is a little more brutal for shit like this. No worries just let me know.

Thats why I only send them to SWMBO, I know in the world of internet if something says it deletes the picture instantly/after a delay then it backs it up to 25 servers first...

And pipes it to GCHQ.

I've referred to that as GCHQ Reader's Wives before...

Even not Twits can view this link and wonder what the point is. https://twitter.com/hashtag/festivalofshite?src=hash

When I click on that link, I'm asked to "follow" (WT actual F??) two Greek swinger couples. So much for me joining Twitter.

Oh, and I also see two pics of the crusty inner wings of a Saab 96. That's it.

So I raise this question:

Why don't these good people quit their stupid Twitter accounts, and open a thread here?

P. S.: Only over my stinking decaying dead body I would join a site where politicians post their unqualified brain diarrhea.

Just popped out at lunch time and come back with the right horn. I saw a giffer driving a lovely early 75 Connoisseur in rare primrose yellow, want scale exceeded, just a shame there was no for sale sign in the back window or I would of dropped the shopping and chased him up the road!

Is it worth me joining Twatter? Most people I know seem to be on it now, but I think it looks mostly shit. I've never used a hashtag in my life, which must be quite rare for a 23 year old. However, that does sound fun!

No.

Been browsing the net for a nice 75. Is there possibly any other make/model of car with more cars listed for sale as Spares or Repair??

Seriously puts me off the idea of running one, even as a local run about.

I'm very excited about tomorrow's collection/swapsie capers. Annoyingly though, it's a really early start in the morning and a load of friends have just announced that they're playing a one-off gig tonight. Starting at 10pm.

As it seems I'll be quite broken by the lack of sleep, I'm not sure about Sundays plans. Mind you, I'm not sure about them anyway. Was meant to be tinkering in Ludlow, but the Hot Rod races at Pendine have now grabbed my attention. Especially as Barrett will be there, and he seems to have got woodie.

OMG NOT ALL VOXHALLS R SHIT!

(OK it's not really a Vauxhall)

A young pal of mine got himself this piece of Antipodean awesomeness. It's very, umm, Australian. Certainly has presence!

Volvo booked in for its MOT at my fave garage. Let the panicking about its failure commence!

Posted

CG125 has thrown a strop after being sat for a week - until now it would always start after a couple of kicks and ran nicely but now it's decided it doesn't want to even try to fire.  That'll be this weekend's job then.  There's definitely fuel, albeit not that fresh and the battery's charged so in theory it should go.  It needs a service, I have no idea how old the oil is and the spark plug looks like it's the original one so that would be a start.

On the plus side, the DVLA have been remarkably helpful and quick with the new V5, it's been off the road since 1997 and had no documents apart from the new MOT certificate but they've managed to produce one in under a month, I've had a letter saying it'll be processed by tomorrow and will be posted within 5 days.

Can't wait to get out on it now I've renewed my CBT (same brilliant instructor as last time, assessed me as "100% safe" despite some ham-fistedness with the Yamaha YBR125's gearchange and slightly embarrassing confusion with the high-tech electric start button which managed to fox me).  A slow camping trip to the Brecon Beacons is on the cards when it's roadworthy, hopefully with weather on my side.

Good stuff ! I've recently decided that a rusty MX5 isn't enough to get me through my midlife crisis, so I'll be doing my CBT this weekend ! Currently on the lookout for a suitably shite 125, though it seems that even worn-out Chinese chod fetches £silly !

If I have any advice, don't touch the Chinese stuff, it really is terribly badly made.  You can't go far wrong with a Honda CG125 - built for the 3rd world market and designed for abuse and neglect, very basic, very reliable (mine notwithstanding) and very easy to fix - 3 spanners and a screwdriver and you can strip the whole bike down.

Good luck with the CBT - it's well worth it, I don't get to ride much but I do love it, you'll see the roads with a whole new perspective.  If I can afford it next year I'll do my full test.  125s are very expensive because of the CBT limits, as soon as you get up into 200cc+ the prices become rather more sensible.

Agreed regarding Chinese bikes, ebay appears to be full of 3-5 year old examples in impressively poor condition.

Loads of people recommend CGs, but I find it hard to pay £500 for a learner bike when my 'posh' car was £300 ! The search goes on...
