You should have no bother getting your £100 back. Embossed headrests go for about £50, the panels in the boot with the hatches for the rear lamps go for about £35. Its just the time to take all the stuff off.

Can't recall if they were embossed but I shall check. I will do my best to get the bits of for folk on here.

That's odd, tried to send a message to EssDee but it won't let me.

I think he’s bailed. I saw his profile in an old thread the other day - he’s not logged in for a few months, his name’s gone green and his profile picture was deleted.

Rob T or Angry Dicky might have a contact email or number for SD1

It is indeed mate, a huge shame but the engine was knocking massively and boy did it overheat.

Can't be helped, it was worth a try.

Rather than bugger about swapping loads of good parts from a car with a good shell wouldn't it be easier to put a better engine in it?

I haven't got anyone who would do the job for me. It's way beyond my skill set and physical ability.

Thing is, in years to come swapping the engine would be seen as par for the course. Because classic.

I'm fetching my 75 in a week or so and I know the electric drivers seat is broken in a couple of ways, so don't do the weigh yet yet. I'm not far from you if you have Letchworth connections

If you want the seats, you may as well have the set. They are in lovely nick and won't be pricey.

I'min North London, the 75 was from Letchworth ;)

Probably fairly safe to assume that anything with a K-Series IS suffering HGF if the heater is blowing cold, sadly.

Most bits now taken off the car, grille (say £15), headlights £20 each), rear lights (£15 each), window/mirror switches (£20), various other switches, front indicators (£10), side repeaters (£10), self-dipping mirror (£15), door mirrors (chrome cover) £45), battery cover (£15), battery (£45), some trim bits, spare tyre (£20), tools, slightly upgraded sound system, Rover mats, embossed front headrests (to be sold, cheapest are £50 on eBay), Crown alloys with decent tyres (£120), rear light hatch covers (£15) and boot mat.

Hoping to take off the alternator (£25), front brake calipers (£20 each used) and possibly the back box (up to £45 used). Maybe also the throttle body (used £20) if I have time.

Sadly the other doors do not operate from the central locking :(

So, possible/potential amount of £680 for the bits including the shell?

If anyone wants the rear view mirror (self-dimming) and front embossed headrests, just PM me, am sure we can sort something out ;)

Couple of other bits to make you a couple of quid. The seatbelt mounting bolts should have little caps on them, and the doors should have square reflectors on them, just below the lock on the door check.

Are the rear suspension arms on these worth owt? You hear of them rotting out fairly often.
