Quite keen to get this done this weekend. I have my eye on other stuff to use the insurance policy with so a quicker draw the better.

Might post some more photos. Might even clean it.

Posted

I had issues getting a 405 on classic. I didn’t even give them any personal details, just ‘would you insure a 405?’ ‘No’

Posted

Might depend on if you're marking it as main transport or not. I didn't, because it isn't.

FJ do insure them though, this isn't the first one I've attempted quotes for.

To help this rofl along, I am going to reduce the ticket price to £5 each. I am losing a ton of money on this car but eh, I didn't buy it to profit....

Everyone who has got a ticket so far also only pays £5 per ticket.

Hope this helps!

To encourage me to buy another number, or not, what tax group is it in please?

Pre 2001 >1549cc so its £245 a year. Or approx £21 a month if you do monthly DD.

Posted

As you want rid of it quickly, could I ask how soon you would want it collectioning by the winrar of a roffle?

Two weeks? That's reasonable right? Ideally sooner but not a deal breaker.

Losing a ton of money hey?  I've been there, too many times.

Therefore I'll buy number 58 as well to at least speed the Roffle along!

Same here, 405 still on regular insurance, which is expensive.

Saloons can go on classic, estates not for some odd reason.

I'm confused now.

It is an estate.

It is insured classic.

Dunno why I'm the only one with a 405 estate on classic insurance. Like I said though, it's not marked as my main car.

I'm confused now.

Don't be. It all depends on what moody Johnny is in when you ask him.

(One time, I tried to add a car to my FJ policy in Apr. They said no for a couple of lame reasons. Then in Dec - in the same insurance year, with the same underwriter - it was allowed to be added no problem. There is no rhyme or reason.)
