I suspect WIFE_CMS will be ok for this, no doubt with CHILD_CMS.

If we are making a day of it, anyone fancy making a Thursday of it as well? Maybe arrange something through the day, plenty to see and/or do in the central belt.

Hmmm...some thought required. Arse end of November... things for shiters to do in Central Scotland...

Admire the magnificence of Cumbernauld Town Centre (what's left of it)?

Visit the Linwood Bridge and set a world record for TS Memorial Selfies?

Summerlee.

I'm sure they'd love us. Also: Coatbridge.

I'm tempted to do the same. I'll look into booking the time off work.

The idea of hanging about with a bunch of people I barely know (I've met some of you) for a couple of days is oddly appealing.

May not be the best idea I've ever had......

I'll speak to domestic management and Blind Trevor......

If that's open, it's a good call. Summerlee that is, not Coatbridge. Regrettably Coatbridge is still open, and will be for the foreseeable future.

Transport museum? At least it'll be open and there's scads of parking.

Summerlee is only shut four days a year and it's free.

Yup! With bonus anemometer boom on the outside of the windshield.

Summerlee is the business. It even smells of the distant past. In saying that, so does Coatbridge.

I have just booked my accommodation. Two nights at Tarrareoch Farm B&B (EH48 3BJ) which is within staggering distance of the Rowan Tree and dog friendly so the hounds will be coming with me. £50 a night plus £5 dog supplement so not bad.

I'm going to be a late call on this one. Would love to make it, but I have a deadline the following week, so it's not ideal timing. If I can tie it in with a few business visits, it might yet work out though...

We're usually the last people out of the car park, so a lift isn't out of the question if walking seems too much.

Thread bump.

Can members of the ENGERLUNDSHITE please supply Scotoshite administration with final numbers so that tables can be booked appropriately.

Additionally, it seems that Thursday's activities after the Wednesday dinner will consist of a visit to Summerlee Heritage Museum in Coatbridge. It's good for at least an hour or two to wander round so I'd suggest 10 or 11am meeting there and that gives us time for lunch and maybe some other activity if anyone comes up with any ideas.

I'll get us started...

Ahm oot. Sorry. November is already looking ridiculous, and I shall shortly have no money left.

I also doubt I'll be able to make this.

I'm out. Working in Cambridge on an electric bus.

It won't be much of a raid with just two people but I will do my best, super fast attack* doggoes will help also.

I'll look into getting the days off work tomorrow.

At least that way you'll have somebody coming down from the north too.

I'm thinking of taking the scenic route back to Cannock via Dunnet Head.  Because it's there and I've always wanted to see it.

The first weekend of December sounds ideal!

Booked in for Wednesday night in the Livingston (bathgate) Premier Inn.

Then I can wander about the Coatbridge Transport Museum on the Thursday morning then head back up north. I'll probably arrive mid / late afternoon on the Wednesday.
