Welcome back.

I'm curious about the track rod boot, surely it's just a generic one they bought for less than a fiver

probably, the expensive bit is getting The Pope to type out the invoice

Good to see you back xtriple. Rumours had it a young lady attracted to your dollop had worn you out :)

Welcome back mate, stories of Chester & the dollop were making this place seem empty.

Welcome back XT, sadly a short while back we lost forum member 'oldford' to his cancer, an all round top bloke. Going to miss his dry humour

Good to see you back! I had worried you had bought it so resorted to Facebook stalking to see if you were still with us. And even that was proving inconclusive so good to hear from you 'in the flesh'...

Good to see you back, with an impressively news filled return thread too. We can only hope that things keep going your way after what sounds like a testing time!

..... fortunately, being over 40, your future will prove 'less testing' ;)

Welcome back.

I'm curious about the track rod end boot, surely it's just a generic one they bought for less than a fiver

It probably is, they just charge Bentley prices. Apparently it was in a really bad place so an utter ballache to fit and required a few other bits shifting to get at.

Oh boolox, that's sad :( I recall when he said about his illness that ... Always seemed a nice chap.

When I had my spirit the ball joint dust covers were silly money, but I bought a bag of assorted boots and it had 4 in that were perfect for less than a tenner the lot. Talking of Rolls Royce's I have my old Shadow back in for a brake fluid leak. One of the height adjuster valves is leaking, £20 for a bag of O rings they know the art of ripping people off. The good news is values are really picking up now so at least any money spent on these old buses will come back if you ever sell.

Good to see you back. We had all been a bit worried.

Panhard, parts prices are effin' ridiculous for these things - I wish you could just nip to the factors and get a few bits, but you can't! Glad to hear values are coming up, about time.

Welcome back, I missed tales of the green dollup. It always made me feel better about my own spending :-)
