From the Quantum ad......

UNFORTUNATELY HE DIED IN A MOTOR BIKE ACCIDENT.

HE WAS PUTTING NEW EXHAUST ON TIME OF ACCIDENT.

Riding a motorbike whilst fitting an exhaust is clearly not a good idea.....

That BX a 4x4 Father Ted? There's reference to one on another forum somewhere (BXC?) with a knackered exhaust for £500, is this the one? If so it's not worth £500 in a month of Sundays as the exhausts are stupidly expensive and very hard to find.

WOW!

...This is nice, and finished with reserve not met at £1750. Hopefully will return in a few days?

Much prefer this to a similar aged VW pickup

WOW!

I'd have thought that was exactly the sort of obscure & interesting thing you'd have gone for Mr Bickle??

Corr! I'm still failing to understand how these have passed me by for so long. They've obviously been out there all those years & I never clocked one because that's 2 brought to our attention now in the space of a month & this is now when the cars are around 25 years old! Where have they been hiding or have I had the blinkers on since 1983? Same goes for the Tredia & the Trevi. (No connection just the similar names so I thought of them both!)

Send for wuvvum!

I spied one just like that 5 years ago on holiday on the cote d'azur! It was in the same dull flat red colour. Can't remember which town, may have been Nice, on the other hand may have been one of the others. Either way, what are the chances!? Nice to see it still clinging to life! :D

I snapped all kinds of shite on that holiday, I really must develop those films!

In fact I'm pretty sure it was Nice. A very Nice place! Somewhere I'll have to go back to at some point just to see something of the bits I missed like the old town harbour that the rest of my family saw whilst I was busy off snapping shite & spending all my euros in the model shop! (old habits die hard!) I feel a similar plot may unfold when we go to Malta in August. Although I think I'll be lucky to track down a model shop!

and left you so sad, you cry every-day

I WILL not accept ANY offers at all for part exchange or swaps, especially for: any twin racing spec carbs; mainly 2xWeber 40DCOES or a set of alloy wheels @ PCD 3.75" (92.5mm), preferably 13" or 14". If you were to send me offers I would obviously have to ignore them completely and would not get back to you. (due to ebay rules).

:lol::lol:8)8) Nice one!

Even at that money, probably a better investment than just about anything else at the moment, including shares in Shell :)

For 25 grand I wouldn't want Marshal/Kumho tyres on it though..............I'd want three sets. Slicks, M+S,and Road type premiums. All on Minilites aswell.

Posted

For twenty five grand I'd want a Lotus Carlton and a bit of change.
