The water ingress will be the pollen filter seal and/or the scuttle panel drains being blocked. Removing the battery helps to poke out the hole and the entire scuttle needs clearing and the drains poking through.

Drivers side will be pretty much as described by Billy but on my Leon the gasket beneath the wiring entry had been squashed in the corner.

Removed and disconnected wiring, put on 50p's worth (LITERALLY) of sealer, dried all wiring put using dry PTFE spray and reconnected.

Fault never came back.

Haven't read the thread but get it sorted as I had a minor FTP in my Leon as it snaffled the connections inside the accelerator pedal and lost all power.

Honestly takes an hour to sort max.

Sunroof front drains clear.

Plenum drain clear.

Bonnet release cleaned and sealed.

Pollen filter housing cleaned. Bulkhead to be brushed back then treated. Hammerite/similar as needed. Collecting sealant and sponge bit on way home tonight.

Watch it p*ss down on me now.

So it rained.

Seal not arriving till Thursday. Que torrential downpours all week overcoming my ingenious temp repair. Not a poly bag over hole. Not at all.
