Just crossed the border into Germany and having a toilet break, The Lego House was the second most amazing Lego experience of my life after the factory tour and visiting the vault. I am 77 miles from Lego store Hamburg where I will be getting a late lunch then on to Zandvoort this evening, Cedric is running like a dream on that V-POWER and I got the highest indicated speed of the trip so far at 150kph. To quote the Blues Brothers I am on a mission from God and it feels like nothing can go wrong at this point. Will post again once in Hamburg, cheerio for now.

In Hamburg now and just parked up, it's amazing and I am not even at the Lego store yet!

The journey from Hamburg to Zandvoort was "interesting" to put it mildly!

 

In less than 24 hours Cedric will touch UK soil for the first time! I hope everyone gives him a warm welcome :)

Actually, before you go all Stannis Baratheon on his ass, "less" is acceptable in this context, as it is referring to a period of time rather than a succession of individual hours.

Yes plus they weigh a fricking ton plus. Funny things about those huge bricks, I first laid eyes on them in Summer 2015 while on our LUG tour, it was summer and lovely weather and I was riding a bicycle that I had borrowed from my B&B and had decided to ride out to Vandel Bunker-Museum and just happened across them. I asked one of the designers Mark Stafford about them later on and he said he was the one that actually instigated their restoration as they had been languishing prior.....

 

Fuel cost, ahem no idea at this point. I was intending on keeping track of it but that went out the window early on. I was going to give a pack of Spunk to whoever guessed the closest as a fun little game to play at home.

 

I have an idea for a new competition though so watch this space Spunk lovers :)

On the second and last ferry now waiting to depart Hook of Holland heading to the UK. My new favorite thing in the whole world is handing border guards your Lego passport, waiting for the look of confusion then hand them your real one, they both thought it hilarious :) Battery died on the Olympus O-MD E-M10 Mark ,III (stupid name great camera) and there is si much shit in the car right now I couldn't locate my spare batteries so I had to fall back to smartphone. Should be in in the UK at 20:00 and home just after midnight. Cedric and I will be in attendance Saturday morning at the Cannock Auctions meet for our first Autoshite outing. Now I have a train station to build so over and out!
