Talbot Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 Blast and botheration. My chances of making this have just dropped massively: It's one of the Mini-Talbots' birthday on Friday. Typical that I forgot and thought it was the week after! I did think about bringing him with me, but I suspect a 5-year-old is a bit young to have running about the field of dreams. He'd love the JCB though. Maybe in a few years time.

He'd love the JCB though. Maybe in a few years time. I have no problem with a 5 year old on site. Just the usual stuff about him being supervised near vehicles. I don't think there are going to be hundreds of us so up to you. Our snake does not eat children, it is a very timid grass snake that has been spotted a couple of times, but even we have not managed to photograph it. The Moog 1
Bucketeer Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Project Turdbox is getting there. It would be easier if I could see what I was doing though. The Moog, Exiled_Tat_Gatherer, BorniteIdentity and 4 others 7

Talbot Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Well, if I wasn't sure before, I am now. Mrs. Talbot has just been whisked into hospital and is likely to be there for a couple of days. Nothing drastically serious, but the field of custard creams will have to wait until the next get-together.

richardmorris Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 I've grabbed a cardboard box from work and have some small Tupperware type boxes that could be useful for engine parts ( have marker pen too). I'm looking forward to a day away from work, but be under no allusions. I have no idea about mechanicals without orders. Will bring cookies etc again. Six-cylinder and beko1987 2
beko1987 Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 How about a shower curtain;-)Easily hosed down, I like your style!

I nearly said yes before remembering about this weekend and realised that possibly wasn't a good idea...
AnthonyG Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 I will be around on the Saturday. I have some Dyson tools to give Beko and some carpet offcuts I saved from a parental tip run that can be used to lie on whilst working on shite, the gravel floor at the FoD is not too comfortable. Stanky Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 I've been to the FoD before but don't recall - is there running water?

Heidel_Kakao Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 I've been to the FoD before but don't recall - is there running water?Yeah there is a tap where drinking water can be obtained.
Stanky Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Ruffgeezer, how much for each/both please? Feel free to PM.
beko1987 Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Yeah there is a tap where drinking water can be obtained.Would me bringing my hose help?
Stanky Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 I would like to do a coolant change on the Toyota if possible, historically i have always drained, filled with tap water, run for a bit, drained then filled with coolant and de-ionised water. A tap would greatly aid this, but is not critical.
Six-cylinder Posted September 6, 2017 Author Posted September 6, 2017 Would me bringing my hose help? The tap is too far from the yard for a normal hose, but there is a hose to fill containers. beko1987 1
Stanky Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 If I bring some 5l plastic containers may I use some water? Do you have somewhere to dispose of old fluids (fnarr etc) or would you prefer they be taken away with me when I leave?
