I'm fucking sick of this bickering, now.  It was all well and good in the open forum, or in it's own threads that I could skip past, but FFS, this is a show thread where people have got together annually for years. And more relevantly, we're trying to cheer up one of our own good men, Mr E Ramrod. So please. Everyone. Just fucking stop.

With that, I shall speak no more of it. I truly apologise for hijacking this thread, but I feel like this whole situation is now pissing on places it really shouldn't, and is in danger of alienating people who have had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Nice try Richard, but not quite close enough.  I'm still oot, as is the Lincoln that would have been coming with me.  You may well find Junkman is too.  Our reasoning is well-documented.

My main reason is that I loathe car shows.

I may... MAY ... have to forego the camping as it seems I am working that day. It's early shift spare so I could either finish at noon or the latest will be about 8:30pm. If I have to drive from work straight to the camp site, I will but I won't know what the script is until the actual day.

Monies will be paid if necessary etc etc etc

Put me down as a definite for the camping BTW (as long as I can sleep in the car!). It makes it more likely I'll be awake in time, it'll be a laugh, I'll get to catch up with far flung shiters, etc. No reason for me not to really (apart from the fact it's not that much of a drive from home, but that means getting up early).

It's almost certain I'll be in the Rover - however the mother and I are lobbying Old Man to sell up and get a car that will take 3 grown adults, such as an old Volvo, that I'd own (I'd really like a 740GLE). So if we succeed in the next 6 weeks I could show up in any old rammel but I don't think it's that likely.

Car camping was fine last time. I slept in the Corrado which actually was not as bad as you would think. This time I will hopefully be in the XM which should be much more suitable.

Not that I'm involved, but JohnK was meant to meet me for a drink on Monday night and didn't show up, and has yet to respond to any messages about this or anything else.  I don't know what's happened with him but I would suggest if you want this sorting someone else should take it over, because I wouldn't wait around for him to do it.

They have up to 14 grass non-electric pitches at £15 per night (last year's price). They will want payment up front to reserve a pitch, which is why I can't do it as I've just been on my holidays and spent all my cash.

Are you doing the camping as well? I don't mind phoning and booking/paying in advance if we can get hard numbers on how many will be camping.
