I dont see all that many cars nowadays with odd-coloured panels - shame really lol.I think there is a full set of matching pound-shop trims between those 2 MK4 Escorts.

That's rather nice. I had one of those about 8 years ago. Lovely cars, I'd definitley have a another in top notch condition. Mine had a dodgy autobox and other sundry issues but I bought it as a kneejerk to missing out on a minter by 5 minutes :(

Unfortunately they're getting quite scarce now.

It was for sale but she was unavailable to get the price and its now back on its normal plate.

Thanks! That's a pretty fine spot in its own right, while Honda did sell a few rebadged as Jazz they didn't do the cabriolet here.

Yes its a 2000E. While I love sierra's I do prefer the Orion 1600E from that period.

I saw a lovely triple-toned lash-up of an E21 BMW today - gold with white & red panels in Gt Yarmouth, went to snap it only to discover I'd left the phone cam in the car. Arse.

Cars yes, because of Ledbury and Apple, but never seen a van that late.

Posted

i've not seen a van that late either, question is is it better than the austin rover version  hae to admit i preferrred the 1600E over the 2000E didnt they have cross spôkes alloys/full leather etc

Posted

Commercial versions quite often hung around longer than passenger cars, either in production or unsold at the back of a compound somewhere.Escort vans were available on 51-plates, the very last of the Escort cars were on 2000 'X' plates with most being gone by 1999.

in breakers all over the land by late 2001

My dad had 51 plate Escort van, complete with electic mirrors and windows :? I wonder if they had too many left, or had run out manual regulators?
