Well done that man. I was rather hoping for a win for myself as we were stuck at the pub with the Saab floppytop that failed to even start let alone proceed. Went back in and had a meal whilst waiting for the recovery truck. The man obviously has magic fingers as the car started first time for him.

No panic at all its just had tax/insurance paid so all legal at moment.

Quick update on this. It's gonna cost me around £300 to bring it home.

£50 flight to Stanstead

£? Travel to Essex

£50 fuel to Liverpool

£150 ferry to Belfast.

 

On top of that I'll need to pay parking at Belfast airport, and leave my kids with my mum for a couple of nights.

 

Weekend is only option as my wife works away all week and I'm pretty much single dad.

 

I'm gutted as I really want to bring it home.

 

One option would be to lend it to another shiter for a while till later in the year when the wife is home for a while.

 

The last thing I want to do is mess Dave around anymore, as technically he has someone else's car languishing outside his house!
