Well everyone here's a delight. A 1.8 vauxhall vectra auto. It has all the attributes of a vectra. It's got some redeeming features. Motd till may. 76,000. New front brakes new rears waiting to be fitted still in boxes. Not that it needs them yet. Good runner and box is very smooth. Front bumper has a giffer fix with self tappers. And passenger rear door has some sort of Lurgy in the paint... All in all a good runner that is ready to jump in and do a shiter proud lol. In East Sussex chaps ok.

These are absolutely great cars. One of the best Vauxhalls I've driven. I drove one of these quite extensively years ago, it was a 1.6LS, it drove nicely, felt nice and looked nice.

cavalier has a rear beam. Vectra b has independent rear wishbones.

I was given one about 8 years ago, for free.

I hated the fucking thing.

I've rarely despised a car so much.

It constantly let me down, cutting out in junctions was it's personal favourite.

Eventually managed to get 1100 for it as a part ex against a pajero with an unknown at the time blown head gasket.

I enjoyed fixing the pajero more than driving the vectra auto. Fact.

I remember when everyone hated Vectras but it appears they are starting to be appreciated now, they're thinning out.

My mate bought a W reg one new and thought it was nice, the interior in black was pleasant and comfy. He ran it into the ground and the ashtray was crammed full of spliff ends.

Like he said, yes they are crap but at £120 who gives a shit. I mean they are fairly dreadful but certainly not in the leagues of FSO, Lada etc.

 

In hindsight, they probably weren't that bad, it was just the competition was considerably better received by the motoring press. Still like I say I used to spend what you are asking in bus fares in a week so nobody's in a position to whinge about the shit handling etc
