Your doing it wrong

There's a bigger plan in action, and that bus had too much glass and too many seats.

If a Luton LDV turns up, I'm screwed and need to find storage fast.

Plans are afoot for this to come to Teesside on Monday.

As for whether it's any good, I will wait until Monday to pass judgement. I only glanced at it really and decided I was going to bid.

Bug thanks to everyone for a top day.

I hope I didn't make too much of an arse of myself as I usually manage to do.

It is always good to meet new people and find new and interesting places to get indigestion.

I've looked at the mot history, and it's passed with the windscreen, so no rush there. The hole in the backbox passed too.

It looked very tidy in general thougg

At least you won't have to break into it to drive it away!

When you pointed out the blue Galaxy to me I kept watching it, and he sparked his jump leads about a bit, they got in but not started I don't think! It was still there when we left

Was it? I thought I saw it leave.

Ah maybe they did then. I got distracted by stuff! Either way, it was a laugh to watch

This is Autoshite. In which a group of people with hopeless social skills get together and have a nice time. I'm not sure how it works, but it does.

I was sad to leave tbh. But I have a different boot full of hoovers now to the ones I arrived with, including a very rare and very nice 1985 turbopower auto flex.

I just need to think of a way to make David_fowler laugh during its video!

Roll on shitefest, although there were enough of us there today to make it a mini sf. The auctioneer kept glancing over as we howled with laughter at various points, im surprised he's not twisted yet.

Wonder how sloth is doing tallying up the quiz, that was a fair wodge of paper he left with!

I'm always sad to leave AS meets, they're always utterly bonkers.

Cannock is like Chumley in a way, but with shitter cars.

Did anyone else notice the bloke in a fake 'dddidas' tracksuit?!

Tim, you were in company where you stand out if you're NOT an arse...

^^Speak for yerself Dave^^

Blind_Trev said something quite deep and meaningful on the way home.... "It's always good to meet up with people who, in their daily lives are deemed to be a bit mad or weird, but in the group context, everyone seems to be normal".

It was a lovely moment.

Then I farted really loudly.

Yeah, the Galaxy was driven off with only the badly tinted rear window scattered on the ground to remind us of the hopeless turd.

I nearly forgot: that chap that approached us about an hour into the auction, he'd bought three cars and wanted to offload at least one. He could only remember two of them!

Was one of them that Silver Polo with the home made gaff tape go faster stripes to not badly cover up some 'light' marks.

STYLISH. It made £100.

By the way, did anyone else see this drive past at the cafe?

As I type this, I do believe all of Scotoshite have made it home by now. I done 745 miles since yesterday morning in a Volvo 745 and now have a boot full of bus swag. Yay!

Cheers to all who made it a good day despite all of Scotland being morbidly grumpy after having to put up with the herd of elephants above us in the hotel.

Oh and cheers to Tony-Gee for going to the shop to get the Hong Kong bus books!

Posted

I did see the Bedford lorry but only because I was standing next to you dollywobbler at the time. I wonder if it came from the yard over the road perhaps?

Complain, get Lenny henry to give you your money back. Cashback!

Polo hadn't sold at that point. He had a Focus, a Mondeo and an Almera iirc.

Didn't spot that pass, but before the last of us left we did spot a breadvan Polo, one of the very last Rialtos (the round headlight ones), and an absolutely mintola mk2 Granada GL.

that olop looks like a vinyl roof project but they ran out of "vinyl"

It was a spectacularly half arsed attempt at personalisation but the Fiesta with massive gold patch was probably the best shonky repair of the day.

I wanted the Mellor bodied LDV minibus probably more than was healthy though.

Cracking day out chaps and chapesses, was good to meet more shiters and catch up with others

Lot 113 should be £140 as everybody else had that rather than the £245 I wrote, which probably means that the Megane in lot 112 was £245

That's a serious amount of totting. Thanks sloth! Good game. Some very impressive results there.

Cheers Sloth as well for taking the time to organize the game and results and great speaking to you. Hope I didn't rattle on too much. That Volvo and the LDV minibus did my score no good.

Can't believe how cheap the Citroen Berlingo and Peugeot Partner vans went for today. Good job my dad wasn't with me or he would have made a few bids on those!
