Cleon-Fonte Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 It's a Peugeot Golf. You have my condolences. Junkman 1
r.welfare Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Car Of The Year though - think of it as a modern Chrysler Horizon or something.
LessThanEqual Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Car Of The Year though - think of it as a modern Chrysler Horizon or something.Just like every other car these days.
Junkman Posted February 1, 2017 Author Posted February 1, 2017 My God, what a hopeless piece of newfangled globaltosh. At least it's Junkmatic, but with twice the required number of gears. Also, it stalls every time you stop at a light. I had cars like that 30 odd years ago. Conrad D. Conelrad Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Just making a stop at the Ploërmel McDonald's to have a Coke and use their WiFi. A couple of observations - this part of France is switched off around 8pm, so it is very quiet. Nantes is chock full of old French chod. The plane from Southampton was powered by spinny fans. The Volkswagen 308 COTY is being embarrassingly economical. More to follow... RobT, chodweaver, Skizzer and 1 other 4

Rave Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 How was the Dash 8? I've always wanted to fly in a propellor plane but reviews on Seatguru all say they're noisy, cramped, and hot. ChinaTom and oldcars 2

Junkman Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 How was the Dash 8? Like a Diesel Stroke Eight that went over a cliff. Avoid anything that flies. Anything. Yesterday, we took those von Richthofen's assets, then we took an autobus, then we took a tramway, hell, we even walked Now let me assure you, my friends, that the only agreeable way to travel is by motorcar, trust me on that.Motorcar, I said, not newfangled globaltosh, although even that is still better than anything else we did yesterday. Please do hit that Reset button while cruising a Route départementale and share the experience with us:- how long before the engine resumed?- did the brakes start working before or after the engine resumed?- how many minutes after that moment when total silence sets in did the airbags release?- Was that before or after that cow started licking your faces? chodweaver, Junkman and privatewire 3

Cheggers Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 How was the Dash 8? I've always wanted to fly in a propellor plane but reviews on Seatguru all say they're noisy, cramped, and hot.I travel on a Dash 8 every few weeks to visit my other half, and they're great planes. Yes they're a bit noisy, cramped & bouncy but delightfully mechanical. Think of one as a flying LDV Convoy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk chodweaver, Rave, ChinaTom and 4 others 7
alcyonecorporation Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Daesh 8? You've bought a fucking Renault 20, haven't you? Skizzer, drum, oldcars and 4 others 7

garethj Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 In management terms we'd call this "losing control of the agenda". What are you going to buy?
Junkman Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 We could have lost control of the agenda if there was an agenda in the first place. The way we are going about it we are merely losing, let alone control of anything. Anyway, today there was a day. First, we stopped to get some supplies. They were closed. It wasn't worth raiding the place. Petrol wasn't available either. Let alone food. Junkman Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 We saw something familiar. So we had to investigate trespass. Quite a healthy chunk of archishite was had as well. Innocenti as well. Even appropriately gearboxed. privatewire, Skizzer, cort16 and 23 others 26
Junkman Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 Then we found some interesting stuff. Cills luk good, might need some welding, nothing serious. OMGRATROD. What's left of what I believe is a 1930 Citroen C4. And another one. eddyramrod, richardmorris, UltraWomble and 16 others 19
Junkman Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 Then we spotted a Teilhol. And the sea. Skizzer, Conrad D. Conelrad, loserone and 16 others 19
eddyramrod Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Never mind that, show us the 1977 Cadillac Eldorado you've just bought!
Junkman Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 Sadly no '77 Aildreado purchasage materialised, because we were on our way to actually for the first time ever in our lives physically see a car we found on Leboncoin. We were so excited! Well, not too excited to miss pappage of a 305 on the way just for you guys. loserone, Skizzer, vulgalour and 13 others 16
Junkman Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 What we went to see today is actually at the opposite end of the automobile spectrum of an Eldeirdre. https://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/1084624491.htm?ca=12_s I'm honestly sad to say that I have to say it turned out to be total rubbish. alcyonecorporation, Lacquer Peel, Skizzer and 9 others 12
Guest Breadvan72 Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Very good of you to detour via Cul du Monde. Charming place!
Guest Breadvan72 Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 I hoped for one of these. Bonus points for anyone who can identify the driver and his pal. NO Googling. Junkman 1
garethj Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Seats on the R4 look marvellous, apparently Mrs_garethj's grandmother had a few and when they broke down she would dump them in the nearest ditch in rural Vendee
dollywobbler Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 This is, so far, the best non collection caper ever! I'm loving it. chodweaver and Junkman 2
