430 Problems and A Lexus is One.

Have you been watching Terminator 3?

I hope you are aware that even if you do have the car, you can't do this whenever you get pulled over by the police.

Either way, I have to say I do rather like these Lexi. Weren't these famous for being one of the final cars to have a factory fitted tape deck as standard? If so, surely these can be qualified as (modern) shite?

If memory serves, Jeremy Clarkson decreed the SC430 to be the worst car in the world ever.  If that's not reason to buy one, I don't know what is.

If I recall the reason's they give for it being "The worst car...in the world" was not because it was badly built, un-reliable or anything along them lines. But more because it was rather dull to drive and could do with some more power?  It's designed for comfort and refinement, not to be driven at 10/10's on a track. So of course it's be a bit dull, but massively comfy and relaxing to drive. In a way. like how the LS is.

I've still got the Abarth to have fun with, which is why I'm still fancying a barge to waft about in, and hopefully give me little grief in doing so. And Lexus seem's to fit the bill for me.

Just finding it hard to pick between LS or SC.

When it came to power, my LS430 could comfortably outdrag my V70 T5.

I distinctly remember Mason, in his working* days, surprising a few sporty vehicles with his ability to simply fuck off from a standstill and keep fucking off until I wimped out, thanks to that wonderful button and four speed auto combination.

Running quite rich probably helped*.

I found Mason somewhat slow around Knockhill. On the straights I wasn't going any faster than that Alfa 156 diesel I borrowed off Moog. That was with power mode switched on and the throttle pedal buried into the carpet.

Mason has positive camber on the front wheels and a prehistoric P6000 on the front left. It terrifies me at town speeds so fuck knows how you managed to get it round Knockhill! It feels OK to me speed wise on the road, broadly similar to my 330d

I may take him to Birmingham for the Autosport show. At least it'll be 5 up so the fuel cost can be split...

For fuck's sake...just as I promised myself I'd start reducing 'The Fleet' and start putting more money into the savings account rather than be tempted by another car.
