This will be highly popular* on here, I'm sure.

2005 Tigra 1.8 Sport Twinport 5 speed manual

MOT September 2017

Taxed to get you home M8

Last owner said he spent £600 at the MOT, no receipts as such but it'd had failed on the steering.

89,000 miles

In the last twenty miles (as I type this) it's had:

new head gasket

head skimmed

valves lapped in

new water pump

full cam belt kit

Oil and filter, coolant etc

Electric roof works spot on, as does the electric boot. I think it had three new tyres recently too, will double check. It's had probably circa £1,000 spent on it in the last month or so.

Looks really nice (subjective) and the paint etc is ace.

£1,395 ono, will definitely take something utterly hopeless (ie cheap) and lots and lots and lots of money my way. MSG ME 4 BST CASH PRICE

Sorry, modern shit, not welcome on here, AVAC, etc.

I will swap for an MX5 Mk1 and £1000 from you to me ? No ?

Interior is same as a 2005 work corsa I had = grim, lots of plaggy and a bit of stuck on silver.

I'm out.

I think they're ace. Not one for me, but a proper "girly" type car. Normally I would like to own pretty much anything, however I don't think I'd ever want to be seen as a driver in one of these. The last bloke I saw in one of these, no word of a lie, had Gavin written in pink above the Tigra badge and met a stereotype you'd might expect.

The rear roll-over bar always has reminded me of bunny ears too.

Sounds like a good deal, Billy, given that Mk1 MX5s are now worth £23,000.

My neighbour has one of these.  He's a retired lorry driver with grey hair and a beard and about as straight as they come.  He just doesn't give a toss what people think.  He bought it as a replacement for a Smart roadster, which was a replacement for a floppytop 9-3, which was a replacement for a bright yellow floppytop Mk1 Punto.

They're only worth £23,000 because I sold mine for £250 recently.

I went out to one of these the other morning stuck on a roundabout after loosing drive.

The mature fake tanned female owner was dragging heavily on an E cigarette and cursing like a sailer.

She had just spent out on a big service and mot work and now the clutch had gone and was muttering about scrapping the ungreatful piece of shit.

I pushed it into a bus stop and when i put it in gear there was a wirring noise from the n/s so i looked under the car and found the drive shaft on that side had popped out of the gearbox.

I used a long pry bar / hammer and popped it back in with a reasuring clunk and drive was restored.

Looking closer it had just had a pair of bottom arms fitted so i guess who ever fitted them must have pulled a bit hard on the suspension strut and disturbed the shafts securing C clip.

The orange lady was now happy again and wanted to kiss me...

I find these are cars driven by a certain sort of character.

There is a part of me that would love to get one of these, or a sport Ka or similar fit a nitrous kit and just rag the shit out of it at a track day. It would be great fun to piss off the testosterone junkies wiv da ard cars. Well it would be until it went bang.
