If they are winter tyres why is the wet grip so shit.

Because the temperatures they're tested at for the EU sticker, is a lot higher than the rubber is designed for.

E for wet handling!

What kind of winter sport do they do?  Gravel rally stage? North pole racing?

Maybe* they will improve as the temperatures drop, otherwise enjoy the drifting!

Oh I see so in other words don't believe the stickers.

Winter tyres work better than summer tyres below 7degC apparently!

Wouldn't bother myself unless I lived in the Highlands.

I once fitted winter tyres to the FRONT of a cavalier and left the Original 18 year old Rears on the Back. Big mistake. Some sliding was had.

Mine has had the winter tyres on the back since I bought it but I have had no omgdriftkaos.

My brother uses winter tyres all round on his E46 325 auto. I remember the first winter we had snow before he changed to winters. The thing literally wouldn't move if faced with the slightest hill and slid far too easily on the flat. WInter tyres absolutely transformed it.
