I remember seeing one like that in Paris in 2008 and thinking that Kangoo is unusual with the massive rear overhang...then I saw another, and another, and another, you get the picture...common as muck...

Next up was a Dirty Weekend, erm.. I mean a Cultural City break to Budapest.

I was expecting wall to wall Ladas, rear engined Skodas etc. But in much the same way I was dissapointed in 1985 not to see a single DS or 204 on my first visit to Paris, this was not to be.

Shit loads of Suzukis though.

Last year we had week in Kuwait, not the most popular holiday destination - but it was free!

The Landcruiser ( or Lexus GX570) was my wheels for the week, I'd just had a go in this Viper , the owner , a cousin of my mate had spent £10kon a retrim because it was tacky- apparently. He also set off 2 speed cameras in the Lexus whilst I was driving his Viper at about 30 mph ." Don't worry, I'll make a call" you get the impression it'd be the same if they killed someone.

We went to the Kuwait Car Museum- all the cars were out! At a shopping centre in Bahrain or something. Anyway this was sitting outside the entrance.

These were the only cars in the museum, actually a building where kids can drive little electric cars round a street circuit. Judging by the standard of driving there,bathe only training they get - ever.

These two were parked round the back of the museum- Kuwati's don't understand why anyone would be interested in anything that's not the latest or fastest.

 

What's Arabic for Redneck? We went into the desert to fly kites, half the lads that turned up were in Yank trucks. Most of them had super cars for Thursday night.

Mrs N and my* Landcruiser in the desert- the camper was only there in case she needed the bog- they don't usually have women at kite flying !

Wasn't the excuse something to do with the difficulty of making it RHD? I too have always fancied one as a town runabout.

Whilst I'mmquite happy to see all these pictures, I would have thought that plugging the phone into your own computer and taking the pictures off (just like a real camera) would be better than getting angry at green grocers.
