I prefer GT85 :)

Well it is here if someone wants it.

Posted

The car, not the GT85 spray.

It does look very very clean. Can't see it needing anything much for a test and it would make it much more saleable.

Posted

Well if Michael's customer decides not to go for it, I will deffo try and get it MOT'd next week (depends on garage mate). It will then be a little more pricier though :(

Posted

Well the original steelies are back on the car as is the correct rear view mirror. Just doing that has fucked me over. Am utterly knackered. Bumsticks!

Posted

Michael, I'm guessing your customer decided against?

Posted

Heard nothing, so presume no.

She's not a tyre kicker generally but I've had no contact

Posted

Ok mate, no problem. Many thanks anyway :)

Posted

If anyone actively wants the/commits to the AX then I will get it MOT'd ASAP, but I would ask/need a firm offer.

Hoping for the Tolly to go soon - just awaiting a firm collection date.

Ooooerr, fingers crossed for you mate!

Just a quick reminder folks, the AX stands at £295 as is, or £295 plus the cost of a test and 'fetching from Essex for the test' money. The additional bit would be around the £75 mark.

Posted

Ken you need to stick it on ebay and do the good old  "No MOT but will pass no problem"  trick.

Must be some helmets out there that fall for that ebay lexicon mongery from time to time?

Bloody ebay banned me from selling due to Mrs PBK refusing to reduce her postage costs. The same buyer complained several times and they gave me a lifetime ban. Gee thanks! Mind you, the highly inventive and very abusive email I sent them after that may possibly not have helped.

eBay are tossers, end of, and Amazon.

Right, the AX is now priced at £250 as it is. This will last until Sunday :)

Just need it gone now.

C'mon folks, 250 quid! Book it in for an MOT on the way home and job done. It won't be getting any cheaper than this.

I'll keep it out of sheer spite if it isn't gone by the weekend :)

G*mtree advert yielded a response, a viewing and a deposit with collekshun scheduled for tomorrow morning. Nice lad from Colchester is keen to be the new owner.

He rolls up in a slightly Shite Fiat which needs too much work for MOT and decided he wanted an AX. He's had a Mk1 and commented just how minty good the interior was on the little AX. Stupid barn person slapped on the handbrake when they moved it into the barn shortly after it arrived from Scotlandshire and the rears are stuck on. Young guy and his mechanic dad will sort that out tomorrow :)

He was well impressed with the whole AS thing and may well put in an appearance. His mates in Suffolk fir the criteria perfectly so it seems :)

It kept me occupied filling each for sale or swap thread with ........ AX?

Posted

This means my Scenic is going to fail catastrophically tomorrow!

Congrats on the sale though

You have to think more positively man!

Thank you :)

Hooray! Well done, Ken!

Chappie popped back with his mechanically orientated Dad this morning. Dad produced the Autoshite precision tool of choice..... a hammer. Dad has a Morris 8 and a........ oh bugger, something else old and interesting, possibly a Cambridge. Both chaps most excellent peoples.

Rear wheels had a few gentle* taps and all was well in the world again. Little AX was driven off in the vague direction of Colchester and a local garage was communicated with. MOT forthcoming without any pain or stress (hopefully). It pootled off quite happily and sounded lovely. Bye bye little blue AX, gone but not forgotten.

Glad you sorted it, Ken - and it was good finally to meet you at SF16!
