Had a Manta gte in silver as a company hack back in the day, stuck it in a carpark and did business stuff.

On return I unlocked the door, jumped in and stuck the key in the ignition, only to find it wouldn't turn

Cue 10+ mins of fiddling, swearing at it, all to no avail.

Decided I'd have to call breakdown, the office etc, pre mobile days, get out to find a payphone

spot MY manta about four cars down 🙄

Id make a crap car thief.

At the time I ran Ford's, with their renowned security....

Yep, this kit was sold to me as being the best, taken from original Irmscher moulds etc. 

I did have a bit of a runaround with the uber cliquey manta owners club trying to find some mythical guy who apparently made the best kits known to man, I got shut down straight away when I messaged him or his representative on earth, probably cos I'd only been a member for a wee while. Sadly the club has that kind of feel to it.

This is the reply I got after being recommended to contact this guy about the kits. 

 

Also the fact my actual name is my username, I messaged admins to get this changed but never got a reply. 

I just never got a good feeling about the club. I joined for a year and it was almost worth it for the forum access, certainly not for the 1 5 year old club magazine I got. The forums are pretty dead now and folks seemed more interested in values and originality. 

Don't take it personally, I know you're involved with the club, it just never felt like a welcoming place.

Adapters are cheap and plentiful.

Adapters or convert to 5x110 on the front and you can then run 110 or 108 at both ends using wobble bolts for the 'wrong' end. There's a decent choice of 16x7-9 stuff in those PCDs, usually from the continent. 

These rebuilt to spec would be perfick...

I said to Dome when we fitted the arches the BBS rims in gold with a huge offset in the back would look minted.

Professionally gapped with 2 spanners 

 

Tons of blocking on the shut lines to straighten em up still but this gap used to be 30+mm at the top 

Rear bumper brackets have been built and the rear bumper modified so it actually fits around the car without scraping the primer off.

Structural duct tape will be painted over as per autoshite rules

I used to own a set of 15x8 and 15x10 Revolutions that came off a 400-kitted Manta with a v8. Those arches swallow massive wheels. 

16x9 revolution rfx or Borbet A at each end would be fantastic.

Bumper bracket fabricated and bonded in.

Gaps on spoiler near dialed in and the inside seams sealed before I left.

Prob shoot primer on the rear end tomorrow and that should be it I reckon.

Spent the morning filling more holes than pavarotti hence the cut through primer on the spoiler.
