dome Posted July 24, 2018 Author Posted July 24, 2018 I had the following conversation with my good lady this morning. Me: So, Duncan (my mate who owns half the MR2) and I have bought a new engine for the MR2, I'm picking it up tomorrow after work. Mrsdome: Oh, OK. Me: It comes in a handy portable storage container. With 4 wheels. Mrs Dome: I thought you weren't buying another car? Me I'm not, I'm buying half an engine that just happens to still be in the car, for the moment. Somehow I survived that one... Collection on for tomorrow afternoon. I'm rubbish at collection threads compared to the old hands on here but it involves 3 trains and me trying to get 200 miles back with the new chariot in time for last orders at Scotoshite. In a car I've just bought with an MOT that can be measured using an egg timer. WCPGW? Tickman, cort16, The Moog and 11 others 14
Split_Pin Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 Very well played on your explanation to the Mrs! Look forward to seeing it tomorrow night.
The Moog Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 Very well played. Stating that Duncans name first seems like you are the innocent party doing him a favour!

dome Posted July 25, 2018 Author Posted July 25, 2018 I just sent my usual message about "Can I hear it from cold" to which the reply was "That's fine, it's not moved in months." Here's hoping he has jump leads. I am travelling light on this mission tool wise. And by light I mean nothing.... Split_Pin, Tickman, 320touring and 4 others 7

dome Posted July 25, 2018 Author Posted July 25, 2018 Made it to Armadale for about half 9, I stopped in Perth for some food though. Report to follow in the morning but basically: it's bloody tidy and although I feel a wee bit bad about breaking it it's not half the car a Type R or a Clio 1*2 is. The engines going somewhere far more suited to it Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk Lacquer Peel, The Moog and NorfolkNWeigh 3
