Sorry, that Thesis is lovely. It would be the perfect life if I had a Scorpio 2.5TD for work, a Thesis 3.2 for best; and a Thesis Stola for when I need to be taken to the airport / out for dinner.

Must be something wrong with me, I definitely would own most of the cars in this thread and think no more about their aesthetics, they are joyously different in the main :-D:-P8)

I really fancy a Thesis.

Alfa 3.2 V6, look's gawky and is a barge.

If I had time and won the Lotto, I'd get one and tour The Europe in it. One can only dream...

Another car for the list, The Argyll GT...

It looks crude enough here in this Press Photo, but seeing one up close it looks like a kit car!

Admittedly, the one I saw at Grampian Transport Museum last year was apparently a factory built rally car, but it's left an impression.

That looks like someone rear ended a Esprit with a Delorean and just kept going.

Bini countryman, job done, nothing could be uglier (unless someone turns Michael Gove into a car)

Built in Austria, so possibly the best thing to come out of the country.

I can see how a lot of these cars divide opinion, and also how a lot of them are just plain ugly. Neither am I a fan of the e-type, although I can just about see the attraction.

My nomination has to be the Nissan Joke though. Not especially dynamic to drive, not roomy, in my opinion very ugly, but they're everywhere, usually driven by women, what is it, why do they like them so much?

No... no, they don't. I mean, why? Just, why?

I read an article about the Argyll a while back. Apparently, the total number that were built is a bit of a mystery, but it's probably a very, very small number.

Found the article on AROnline. Someone commenting on it reckons as many as 3 or 4!

There is at least 1 still alive, currently(Or at least was last year) at the Graimpian Transport Museum...

After digging threw my phone, I found that I did take some photos of it the best I could...

I wish I remembered what it said on the information card about the car, if this was a production or race car or whatever!

Hoping it's still on show this year and will be able to double check!

I like the random box (battery?) which completely blocks the passenger's legroom

E-Types look best in series 1/1.5 form. Jaguar did an excellent job of ruining it with subsequent models.

I like the Rodius too...

Anglia 105Es however are gopping.

All BINI variants, particularly  this over inflated sack of crap that is the size of a small house

The XJ40 can't really be blamed for its ugliness as it's a product of its chaotic and prolonged development period, but just look at it. It's as if the designers suddenly went into a mad panic about how dull their briefcase-on-wheels design was and tried to remedy the situation by indiscriminately lobbing on bits of SIII XJ6. The end product was just wrong, especially without round headlamps.

i'd disagree about the XJ40, it is i think a fine looking car.

especially the sovereign with the fish tank head lamps.

ok, so it isn't as bonny as either the earlier series XJ6, or the later more traditional X300, but as a product of it times, the 1980's then the XJ40 is just the right car at the right time.

now if we are talking ugly, how come we've not mentioned the Morris Ital?

or the lamborgihni LM002?
