I have a manual, so only some gearbox oil. I found some panel wipe to lets see what happens..................  :mrgreen:

I thought nail polish remover was neat acetone but I guess the H&S bods might have made it safer by dilution in case you pour it up a baby's nose or something.

Yeah don't ask why I know but you can definitely get proper Acetone (anhydrous) off of popular internet shopping websites, not too pricey either.

I just did a quick Google to find out whether my tin of cellulose thinners might make an acceptable substitute for the acetone in this recipe (probably; turns out to be Toluene), and made an interesting discovery on this page, which is that the mixture described above is like an 'oilier' homebrew version of WD40.

I always thought Acetone was a skiffle band from the 50's.

I think that is a more pungent offshoot of TwoTone
