Scrapyard choddage

Did a rather pleasant day scouring for some bit's today and thought I'd show you some scabby lovelies, was after some parts off a scirocco but no cigar.

I can get bit's if needed but the guy is not known for being particularly cheap

Who'da thunk Maestro wheels would look good on a Spitfire?

Looks like a must-have modification to me.

Warrington eh? Thats not even on the other side of the world. Might have to rumble up there on Tuesday (got the day off work)

Posted

Datsun sunny coupe is the one you enquired about.

Fairly sure it's a Sunbeam Rapier Fastback...

Spitfire needs saving, the rest are shite. S3 LRs are the worst of the leaf spring bunch, too heavy & under powered

Posted

Looking again the pillar slants the wrong way for a Sunbeam!! So I stand corrected! Google images tells me you're right.

I bow to your superior chod knowledge...

I'd prefer the Sunbeam 😉 haha!!

Lol!!!

Id love one now!

there used to be loads of those in one of our local communities,in late 80s but they were all driven by people called Tariq or mohammed Imran or shabir, sharing a licence

+1 for JT Wades, Warrington. Visible from M62, come off at winwick and head round the back of B&Q. Was in there recently for an accelerator pedal for my 90 and spent a good hour in there poking round, an eclectic mix of stuff in there. Part was a tenner which I thought was reasonable compared to ebay, and the previous occupant of the Audi had left the window open so the part had even been pre washed!

Also many a happy afternoon spent at G&E Salvage (Mally's) in Haydock, another conventional "pack your waders" type scrapyard!

The Talbot Horizon was in Mally's as I popped round there after Wades, both decent yards but Mally is easier to deal with

agree, the first audi I bought had a dopelganger in Mallys years ago - It arrived when I was in with a friend looking for a peugeot 309 phase 2 glove box. I left with 2 headlights 2 bumpers, a set of rear lamps and a grille strip all for £40! my mate was well impressed*
