I once test drove a Lupo GTI from the VW dealer at the bottom of that road, it had been badly repaired and wasn't square (but they still wanted 6 large for it) but we still got up to a fair old lick down there.

Building on the 'aftermarket alloys' post, I will say 'decent-looking aftermarket alloys'. 15 years ago there were some right horrors but You could also get great looking sets from manufacturers such as Millie Miglia, Kahn, Masitaly and Technomagnesio. Now it's all shitty Dotz or Ripspeed stuff, black with a milled finish that corrodes and flakes after 2 years.

That's the one! They used them on a few and all were awful, but I had forgotten about the one fordperv put up, that is even worse.

I always used to take bumpers of to make it look like a rally car big spot light on the back

Can't do that today bumpers are most of the front rear of cars these days
