Bub's Fester still is

Having won a roffle for the first time in my life (No shit, I have been at a club where there were 10 people including the band...8 prizes in the meat draw, two tickets in my pocket.  Won fuck all) I became the brief charge-hand of a certain Ford Fiesta.

Now, I don't wish to appear ungrateful but I don't bloody want it.

I was going to suggest, when I bought the numbers, that there was some kind of way of NOT winning but I didn't want to push Vulgalour over the edge so just paid up and shut up.

I really have not the time for a collection thread and combined Fester Fettleage at the mom and the main aim was to support the fundraise for Bub.

I have had a virtual conversation with the Bubster and it has been decided that he keeps the Fester to do with as he sees most helpful to his situation.

So soz...No Collekshun Fred, no Fester FTP somewhere south of Donington Services and no pretty new car for Mrs Rocker which only needed a short lift from her to collect.

As you were.....

What does it need Bub? Where is it and is it driveable?

Rollover would be a good shout - I can make use of it if I win it but don't want it enough to not be forced to have it via a winning draw :D

Rear spring, brake line and rear wheel cylinders. Does start and run. Ideal for travelling to pre booked mot.

Or maybe ask if any other needy person could make use of it?

That's why I said if it can be of use to someone mate

I understand mate, it's up to the 'winner' obviously but would be nice for it to be of use to someone and if by helping you we all ended up helping someone else as well then double win.

How bad are the brake pipes? The following pictures are only a suggestion.

To be fair i wouldn't have wanted it if I won. So a rollover could be ok but this could go on for weeks . Winners saying no thanks. So why don't interested parties post on this thread and bub draw a winner from a hat, sure he will have a hat. After all I think its a bit in his way.

How quickly do you need it gone?

Would be tempted as a second crail car. Happy to let shiters use it as well ..

Not a massive rush as I've a double driveway but rather it didn't sit and rot!

Well if no one else has a use for it, I could collect it in a couple of weeks.

Would get the bits done and MOT it. Then use it as crail drag car.

Remember we were asking which car was too shite for AS? I'll give you a clue, the owners of all 59 numbers are currently coming up with their excuse why they can't possibly take a Fiesta they've already paid for.... ;-)

Breadvan's mother has a hat.  It was mentioned a while back.  It has experience of being a Draw-Hat too.   I commend it to the House.

Why not offer it up for sale and put the money from the sale in the bub and chompy get well fund

I'll have it if nobody else wants it but I'd just be an utter bastard and sell it post MOT pass

I'm still interested in this as a suitable-for-learner car. I'll leave it up to the rest of you as to how to proceed.

To be honest I have a need to go back to Derby in the next couple of weeks  ( Nottingham Road Cemetary) to visit a relatives grave, if I came back with a shit fiesta it wouldn't break my heart.

Posted

I have a secondhand rear strut for it if any Midlands shiters want it for free

Can be collected from Ludlow or Cannock areas

3vom learner car sounds a good cause for a relatively tidy motor. Just put of curiosity how the Mary Jane will I be any good as a crail car?!

Posted

If it had a test I'd actually have it, but, as I'm already having to get rid of a Ka I'd have to sell it on. Anything it made could be put back into some kind of fund or used to pay for the work done

It will be fairly evenly matched against the starlet which is the important bit :-)

Both in under 1.3 n/a category.

As some of you will know I fitted a front spring, battery, exhaust and fettled the brake lights prior to the MOT test. It did fail on a rear spring, low rear brake force (both sides) and a corroded rear brake pipe.

It needs two rear wheel cylinders (cast type, not ally) but the linings are ok. The spring needs replacing as does the brake pipe, unfortunately it is the pipe that sits above the fuel tank which needs to be dropped out to do a proper job. It is seriously rusty, personally I wouldn't trust wire brush and greasing it.

Very soon a front pipe will be required as the current item is bodged to seal it and the tester missed the fact that washers are not spraying water.

It is, however, the quietest endura engine I've heard, pulls well and emissions are good.

Hope this helps.
