Late Summer haze, down the front. I've done bugger all to the car this year, deferred maintenance list getting a bit long.

Last taxed 2002 that one - 9 year service life! Many Mondeos worked hard (as Warren shows us)

Actually, it was beyond economic repair...

It’s had an excellent innings. I wonder if the bumpers live on?

To be fair to the banger boys, several now seem to offer out bits they won't use quite readily, no idea if their prices are fair, but that's been good to see.

Good luck, I'm sure the 'specialist Mondeo breakers' (banger boys) will be all over it!

Think it'll be long gone but we'll see. Bizarrely has a full years ticket 🤯🙃

There's a guy called Ross in the MK1 Mondy group who is building the world's first(?) 3 door MK1 estate. Finally got it in primer.

People are daft like that in the misguided principle they’re doing someone a favour. As you say some ‘specialists’ will be along to ship it off with a hi-ab, but then they’re the people that turn up and shift it promptly, the enthusiasts piss about usually no end.

I'd have taken it on had I been in a position to, but I'm not so no point wasting their time

Looks like an M-reg in this photo, but thought it'd be one to share on here. Taken in 2002, or thereabouts.

‘Might want attention to the rear of the sills’ If that doesn’t want a foot letting in forward of the back wheels then im the Shah of Iran.

Sorry @egg it's not a K plate, just a mk1 but a nice one. I'd probably be giving this a go if I didn't have a knackered citroen in the garage. It's done 41 miles since it's last test in '21  and pretty much that's all it's travelled in the last 10 years. MOT history suggests it's not a rotter....yet

@Marshall2810looks good, I wonder if the auto box has shat itself? As they can do...

The ad says "starts and drives"but who knows. Are they known be fragile even at low mileage?

Sierraman will know more, but they don't have the best reputation, but I think it's more from an age perspective - and autos are fairly thin among the survivors.
