Skegness meet .. suggestions

Recommended Posts

There are a few of us in Lincs and East Mids and some down Cambridgeshire way, but is there enough demand for a meet round this neck of the woods?

If there's enough interest then feel free to make suggestions for date and venue.

So, who's up for it?

I iz a Lincoln man. Count me in especially if a burger van is included....

Skeggy could be good. Fiver to first one who goes in a chippy and asks for a bucket of chips and a whale. ( mate text me earlier, did make me smile!)

Ok then, it sounds like a Skegness meet, any suggestions on date or venue in Skeg?

Personally Sundays are better for me but am willing to go with what's best for most.

I was joking about Skeg!

It's not a bad place per se, but I just don't like being in a position where people can blame me for things.

If you are married pillock my experience tells me it will always ve the husbands fault

Hey, other people mentioned Skeg vegas as well ... but nothing is set in stone.

However if I end up alone in a car park in Skeg it will be Pillock's fault.

127 miles and 2 and half (3 in the Micetro) hours from me.

I've never been to Skegness - is it as miserable as it sounds?

Rachel's cafe in Hagworthingham isn't a bad about, that way you avoid seaside tax.

I can't think of much shite worthy stuff to do in skegness save for the new shit car lot that has opened near the football ground.

Cleethorpes ticks all the proper sea side boxes, promenade, pier, fun fair, quality fish n chips...

It's also dead easy to get to at the end of the M180.

In reality however, it is truly fucking dire.

I took the fair lady barefoot for a 'special' day out

We have not been again.

Thinking about it shall we have a few suggestions for venue then have a vote? or do we reckon Skegness is a good choice?

Posted

Cleethorpes sounds ideal.

How about we have a vote then...

Cleethorpes

Skegness

Any other suggestions to add?

Cleethorpes is a bit "north" for an East Midlands event surely? With all the fuss going on in the open forums over a certain word you might as well do it in Scunthorpe.

I vote skeggy.
