See, my cock drawing thread wasn't so bad now was it? At least I delivered!

Well I for one am shaking in my boots (not wearing boots) as we leave euro bound on Friday, not to collect a renno though as no reply to my offer.

This thread promised so much and delivered so little. Disappointing. Was it ever going to happen? I doubt it.

Maybe he has changed his mind all together :)

After the collection from hell then I don't blame him, the Brussels border was a bloody nightmare both ways.

The suspense is killing me. I've heard that much about it I woke up last night wondering where this bloody Renault 20 is?!

The car was in Paris.  Nowhere near the Belgians.

Assuming (being parked at a Payant space) it would have had a carte gris, so drive north then ferry from any port.  Probably.

I know the car is in Paris but if my offer had been accepted it would have made a disaster of a collection to no collection at all,

Not only was the Belgium/French border a nightmare but the Chunnel was worse.

Was it? What was the problem? I'm due back through soon..

The motorway was backed up stop start for over five miles on the way out and the way back, the police had all vehicles diverted down the slip roads and where pulling over any vehicle they didn't like the look of, at the Chunnel they had extra security checks and searched our boot which caused much confusion and many questions over having 4 large batterys and jump leads connected to the car.

Hardly a disaster compared to the 14 miles of stop stop I endured last night on M1 and surrounding roads in Herts/Beds...

And the bin lorry that threw itself over on the M25 jn21 was handy this morning too.   Took an hour to get 3 miles on an A road to St Albans.  Excellent.

Just saying, like.  The Renner will be worth it (even with all its dents)

Sorry I should have explained it better, that five miles took three hours then the added Chunnel delay saw us down to the last battery so getting to Scotland just wouldn't have been possible,

That on its own was not the disaster it was the final nail in the coffin especially on a Sunday night and having work the next day.

Ta for the ' heads up'.

Back to the back roads across the borders then. Cheers
