03 Lupo SELLED!

Recommended Posts

Stumbled across this for sale locally with no tax, test or insurance.

As is my usual insanity, I immediately bought it.

No lows.

No pineapples.

No Rimz.

No Camber.

Just a low spec, honest, straight Lupo.

Theres a scrape on one front corner and a boop on one rear corner (plastic bumper, as shown).

85,000 miles.

Full MOT issued today. No advisories.

No history.

One Key.

Has a cup holder.

Manual windows.

Manual mirrors.

Runs like a Sewing machine. A good modern one. Not a pedal powered one from the olden days.

If you never believe anything I ever say again, believe this: I don't want to buy it.

Are you selling it for £600, or have you bought it for £600?

Selling price.  Negotiable obviously, but not courting insulting offers.  "They seem to sell for a lot more on ebay" but who can be bothered with ebay?

Clutch change on the 405 is into its second day, and even on mates rates, that is going to sting, so I could do with cash in pocket rather than pocket rocket.

It can't be too bad, that bloke in picture 5 is playing pocket snooker over it.

Not a bad looking motor - shame I'm the other end of the country as that would have done the job for me.

Petrol FTW!

There are excellent fish & chips worth travelling for. Plus it'd probably cost 70p in fuel to get home. And I can't imagine anyone more straight up honest to buy a car from, the Accord is excellent :D

these are particularly sought after here, these days; lots of 'lupo wanted' ads in the classifieds - its very hard to get a non 'bashed up /many tie warps' reconstructed example n the seem to make good money for the 2000 era ones, even with front n rear bumpers bareley hanging on n no test...Seat arosa's seem to have sold in bigger numbers here, n are about 1/4 the price with test/no test... once they 'fell outta the bed' with the 'giddy young hairdresser type 'car on finance' daft girls' n they went on to buy fiat 500's or mini 1's the numbers seem to have vanished, overnight....

,,anyways GLWS etc

Just realized there are some interior shots on the other thread.

Looks a decent little thing.

GLWS and all that :)

Cheers. Firefox kept crashing when I was posting so I think I've ended up with more than one thread. I'll keep adding pics till people are sick of them/it's sold.

It's getting a couple of part worns that I have lying around and a good vallet next week. *exciting*

They do drive really well and first impressions are impressive (my first ever VW). Feels very much like a "new" car though it's nearly 13 years old. Nothing really to note, other than its Revvy, quiet and smooth. Boring really. I'm sure it'll do someone a great turn.

Pour a pan of boiling water on that boop then fist it out from the inside ( :D).

Might work. Might strip the paint. Gamble.

Heat gun would work if you have one than tap from the rear  :-P

Keep it Wilson for the time being . Volkswagen owners are due to get 2000 quid compenstion for misold cars . Your phone will not stop ringing with offers to help claim the money due to you .They might even be forced to give you a brand new car in exchange !

I quite like it. It's very basic and everything works. If I didn't need the money to pay off the 405 clutch labour, I'd happily keep it.

Would you take an AX as a part ex!?

Sorry man, Theres twice the room in the Looper than the AX. And the pedaling position is much more size 12 friendly.

I would have kept that AX if I could have got on with it.

Took this little nugget for tyres and a clean today. Well, the exterior.  I'm gonna attempt the interior tomorrow.

Scrubs up pretty well.

Cool!!!

The number plate spells NH(S). That is good too.

I like these. VW's last bit of proper small-car mojo. Good thing it's not yellow.

Ah man. How fucking awesome would a yellow 1.3 be?

Answer: Sex very.

I've seen the odd yellow Seat Arosa, but few Lupos. Most bright ones I've seen are the equally awesome lurid green.

I like how much bare painted metal is visible in the Lupo.

(FWIW, shameful confession; if you ever end up with a yellow New Beetle and can't get on with it, I'll probably want it. Particularly if it has a sunroof).
