That Audi is allowed because someone has painted it Tara Green so it looks a bit like a modernised Landcrab...  if you squint...  in the dark...  after several pints... when it's raining...  and you're using your glass eye to look at it.

What I'm saying is I like the colour.

I reckon we can make it a Volvo 1-2 next time if I take my aux belt off and don't have a massive Chinese buffet meal the night before. I won't be there on Remembrance Sunday though, I'll be at a service in Lincolnshire.

I reckon we could get a Volvo 1-2 if I get Dave to tow me.

Need to map my Caddy 90 TDI's ECU and duel with the taxi, wish I'd kept the 110 injectors off my scrap Octavia.

Would 80% of the dead V70's injectors do?

Kept that quiet;) Would work with mine too:)

Erm, don't 5 pot vag injectors have .216 nozzles? Not sure if the bodies are the same, but the nozzles are what you want ... if you can swap them over.

We did talk about that but it would take the gantry with it and probably the wee office as well.

My Satnav directed me home via Dundee for some reason, which is not the shortest route, but I'm guessing that may have been a quicker route.

I am making enquiries on remapping the boring, Darkside = v expensive and I'm a mingebag, so that's not happening. Unfortunately my car can not be mapped via odb, it is post 2001 VAG that can, mine needs a physical chip replacing.

I think that actually it's post 98 or so that can be mapped via OBD, have a look at your ECU.

This is an MSA15 ECU which is a soldering job:

This is an EDC15 which is flashable:

Alternatively if you have VAGCOM you can get the part number and ECU type when connecting to the ECU.

Whatever you do, don't pay for a map, can be done yourself for £0.

Just the one for me!

Sorry I didn't meet you Will, you must have scarpered early. I got lost (again) and landed late and slowly.

is it possible to plug n play swap the ecus?

cos I know where there is an edc15 available

Posted

Unfortunately its not plug and play as they have different amounts of pins (121 for edc15 vs 68 for msa) and also immobilizer shenanigans to consider.

I would expect this bora to already be edc though.
