Aye, I can send any of Vulg's bits up with you John.

Chompy (his brother) may be popping down at some point though, I'm not sure which of you will be here first.

(For those who didn't know, John lives about 20 minutes from Angyl, Chompy, and Mike_Knight's unit.)

So, last night I did a buy it now on the 416 GTi.

Now let's go back in time. Prior to purchasing the 416, for a couple of days I had been watching a 214 SEi. It was £250 starting with no bids. With 30 mins to go I stuck £300 in. I lost out as the finishing price was £310. So I hit eBay again, found and bought the 416.

Just got an eBay notification there for a 'second chance offer' ...

I loved the little 214 Si I bought from Mr B, Joe. However, 3dr's aren't my thing and I much prefer the 5dr R8's (which is why I was interested in the white one as a replacement for the blue 3dr).

Happy days!

Happy days!

I wonder if Mrs_K will be happy* when she notices a red, white and black R8 triple-threat lined up outside... :D

Let me get this straight ... you've just raffled off one R8 and are now buying 3.

Some major threadage update required!

The red 416 did not come off, but the black 214 is residing with a friend in Lancashire 'on loan' at present. I've also since acquired the ex-Cavcraft 214.

I will do a full update soon.

Anyway, it's a Sunday morning, that can only mean one thing...

I received a cryptic message yesterday. I arrived in South London earlier this afternoon and had to investigate.

I found what I needed - a giant bag of coke!

That's not fair, mine hasn't got a sunroof!

I'll try and fill in the missing bits shall I? :)

A mysterious deal was struck quite recently for the purchasing of a Small Rover to replace Big Rover that has only just gone to live with a Mr. Pirate of this manor.

Nature abhors a Rover vacuum, so all was happy.

John and his budding co-pilot sadly missed the rendezvous at the garages of many cars (Amazon and Dolomite) and were met at PBK Towers. The attack cats were caged and the deal was done in exchange for some moody Twenties.

John was to fall prey to the distraction of having a 1 year old as a co-driver (he forgot his house keys - they were in the door pocket in the green Rover). So a swift detour to PBK Towers happened and keys were rescued.

I had a nano-second to see RobT's Rover. It looks lovely (it even has a sunroof - bugger) as John scooted off home.

Nice to meet you and your lovely little lad today John. hope you have an uneventful journey home.

Great to meet you as well Ken.

Currently sat feeding my trusting co-pilot Harry Ramsden's finest. He has now decided he no longer likes chips and just the fish will do. Fussy git

Glad you collected OK John, I was bit concerned the foxes may have pinched the keys from behind the pots last night!

How's the idle? It was running even faster than normal last time I used it, so hope the trip throught traffic wasn't too much of a pain in the butt.

I'm getting completely confused, is this the new version of musical chairs, but where everyone ends up with a different Rover to the one they started with?

Posted

I reckon they are taking the piss.

There's only one Rover photo shopped a different colour outside a different house every couple of weeks.

Bloody stupid DVLA won't recognise the new keepers supplement document ref number.

I'll have to get the main V5C details off you ASAP John, don't want the bloody DVLA clamping the poor Little Rover.

Ken, put an '8' in front of it, that usually does it. If so, make sure you get the date right on the log book or they'll probably stupidly refund it John.
