After the phenomenal* success of my Derv Drag racing at Crail (https://fuguttycars.wordpress.com/2015/07/05/drag-racing-the-dervs-rupaul-would-approve/) I thought it may be a worthwhile endeavour to get likeminded autoshiters together for a "Gaun Like Fuck" event.

York Raceway have some good stuff on mid sept (http://www.yorkraceway.org.uk/events.html)

Rough plan would be as follows-

Arrive at York Raceway either evening Fri 18th or am of Sat 19th Sept.

set up camp

beer / bbq

Drag race in the Run What Ya Brung class on Sat (possibly with awards for different shite classes?)



either stay on for the UK Northern Finals on 20th, or rattle up the road on sat eve..

no obligation to run your car-can just turn up and camp if you like.

Indicative costs:

Admission £15 pp
Camping £5 pn
RWYB £30

Vans were allowed at North Weald a couple of weeks ago. From an obviously current workers van (fitted with Mud and Snow tyres) to a highly modified one. All diesels, al belching out tons of smoke. Excellent.

 

Sadly I won't make this-clash of dates. Bugger. Love to get the Cagiva up the strip.

Found a pair of road legal avon 13 cut slicks and a pair of road legal avon 13 wet track tyres for £16/ pair delivered on eBay
