Y'know the more I read the above the more I think that it's not irony, and that this place has been mistaken for pisstun neds....

Maybe let Mark answer that one before jumping to conclusions?

Pistonheads crossed with the Money Saving Experts forum and the Daily Mail online comments section. Plus some rubbish old cars.

Are you actually being serious, or just sarcasm/irony?

No, Yes/Yes in that order.

Like I'm arsed writing to some faceless twat at Honda who gives not a stuff what I think, and is just part of a faceless machine.

90% of what I type on this forum has some basis in irony.

No. Their letter, gives me the conviction to hold onto the car, until they eventually do contact me in about 5 years time, at which point I will have the work done, and then weigh it in for scrap. No seriously.  At the current rate of use, the car will see 200K in 3.5 years time, so if I can arrange for the breaker to collect it from the dealer just after they've fixed it that would be great.

I think pistonheads "may" have banned me MORE than twice. Well I have had at least 4 user names.

I wouldn't piss on the daily snail, but MSE ? Now there's a forum. How to save money !!! Given that I'm the tightest bastard I know, I've obviously read most of the debt-free/mortgage-free/old-fashionedmoneysaving threads.

Think it's a Ford Pinto, they had some bolts that would puncture the fuel tank in a hard rear impact. There was a famous memo where Ford decided not to recall because the cost (I think it was just for plastic caps over the bolts) would be more expensive than being sued from deaths/injuries.

Ssssshhhh!  1st rule of shite-club is that we don't talk about shite-club:

Edit - oops. Beat to it by overrun.

Well this has spurred me on to write a very strongly worded letter to the managing directors of British Leyland for the numerous failings of my automobile.  I believe Lord Nuffield is still in control and that his number is in the Yellow Pages, or perhaps I'd be better requesting the information of the operator who will be sure to put me through to him directly when she hears of my complaint.

Nissan sent us a recall letter for subframe corrosion just after we'd sold the car for spares because of subframe corrosion. No wonder the phone was ringing off the hook. I saw the car in a scrapyard years later with about 30k more on the clock.

My utterly rotten Sirion had the fuel filler neck replaced under recall. They did have to do some extra work/bodgery due to corrosion, but didn't charge me - presumably because they get paid quite nicely for the recall work.
