nacho man Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Saab 9-5's even in Aero form are quite wafty. Mine has a cosseting ride, and is a lovely place to be after a long day at work. Shep Shepherd 1
The Moog Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Agree with Dan, Saab is far from a hardcore drivers car. Missus Moog thinks it isn't far off old X300 I had in that stakes. Just makes sure hasn't got rubber band tyres as they can make it a bit jarring. Shep Shepherd 1
Asimo Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 More space than you will ever need, quiet, comfy, simple and cheap. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/chrysler-grand-voyager-3-3-le-/251992257221?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3aabe8b2c5 Special Bonus feature is column gear selector eddyramrod 1
Uncle Jimmy Posted June 20, 2015 Author Posted June 20, 2015 A Camry estate with the 7 seats and twin rear wipers, preferably a V6, more of a Lexus than the contemporary GS300 ever was. They drove like baby LS400s when they were new, can't remember the last time I saw one though.image.jpgYeah, like these, a lot, were they even officially sold here? By then it was impossible to get Ze Englanders to by any luxobarge other than a Benz/BMW.
colino Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Fully loaded e39 estates (ideally 530D auto but any flavour will be good) make great waftobarges. Like highly specced Mercs, they were expensive new and so unlikely to have been a reps hack, more likely a managers vanity company car with early, tender care.
pshome Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Needs to be petrol, large, estate and luxuriant.Preferably reliable(ish) and self fixable(ish). Weird suggestions welcome. you talk Tagora, exept for it not being weird... 10 for sale, pick one: http://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/offres/champagne_ardenne/occasions/?f=a&th=1&q=talbot+tagora Junkman and Uncle Jimmy 2
Ghosty Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Lexus don't do estates. Think again if you have enough cash - the Lexus IS200 Sport Cross: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-IS-200-2-0-SportCross-Rare-Estate-Tourer-/121674112517?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c54579e05 Uncle Jimmy 1
Lacquer Peel Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 To be fair, that's more like a 5 door hatchback than an estate.
Honey Badger Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Second the galant http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mitsubishi-Galant-2-5-v6-estate-/171832156571?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2801fea19b Sealtainn 1
twosmoke300 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Ooooof , now that's a handsome motor . From the outside anyway . No doubt the interior is just universal Japanese motor car .

Since I have owned The Saab, I am enjoying driving for the first time in many years. Great car
