I really want one of these. One day when I have the money :)

Good luck with your sale.

When you've got the money the prices will have quadrupled, so better get one now whilst they're still cheap ;)

It's well well worth £900. I had so much interest in it when I had it one carandclassic, even a month after I sold it I was still getting phone calls on it.

25 hours later.

I do like it a lot. Weird as it sounds, I trust a shiter more than Joe Public, and even more so as Trigger is from my home town... where we're all as honest as the day is long. I know he looked after it and that subsequently it's been looked after by John K.

But I'm moving house on Friday... so someone please buy it so I can have it next time?

Please?!

At this rate it will probably still be here!

I'd 100% cast-iron defo buy this but I've just burned the roof of my mouth on a cup of tea so I can't/won't.

Aye - I'm aware I'm looking a bit 'Gumtree' here.

£900? So that's, say, £19 per ticket? More than usual but you'd really feel you'd won something if you won this. Most people seem to buy 2 tickets anyway and you could Payp#l refund if all the tickets didn't sell.

Think of the excitement in the days leading up to the draw. Think of all the fantasy conversations with the missus you could rehearse in your head. "You'll never believe what's happened love. I've won a car in a roffle! And it's a Merc".

Roffles save lives. Lots of people on here seem so depressed. Roffles give them something to live to the end of the week for.

I think you'd struggle to sell them at that price. I think a raffle suits the cheaper cars myself.

Agreed. With the Rover raffle at £10 a ticket there's a noticeable difference with people only buying 1 ticket compared to say when Rob's 75 was up and lots of people were buying 2 @ £6

No offence, but a 214 and a 190E are at different ends of the desirability yardstick, for me anyway. With a V6 Rover 75 somewhere in the middle.

Edit - or a prize draw with 100 tickets @£9 each?

Can you tell I really like this car? But the missus would detonate if I bought it. An "accidental win" is my only hope. And I bet I'm not the only one. I think it's a major part of the attraction of these roffles.

GLWTS. Car for life. Looks a bargain too.

I love looking at this car by the way

Maybe you could try something mind bendingly complicated like having the thunder ball plus the bonus ball, then you could sell 100 tickets at £9.

Don't know if you could shift 100 though. Id have a couple for a fit Merc.Maybe get people to pledge before taking payment?

Or is this just a giant faff?

If i had the monies, i would be all over this.

I've had three and they are fantastic motors.

Good luck with the sale, i can't believe it's taking so long. I sold my last one years ago for £1300 within days of advertising

Very tempting, but I couldn't pay for it until mid-August and couldn't collect it until September. So that's probably not much help.

Constructive criticism: I thought Trigger's photos did much better justice to a car which actually looks fantastic in the metal. This might explain why he got a lot more interest on C&C? My suggestion is, more pics in better light will really help.

And if I'm wrong and it's still there in six weeks then I'll buy it myself.

Agree with you on the pictures to be fair. I think when I advertised it originally it was a half-arsed attempt as I didn't really want to sell (still don't but it's needs must unfortunately - it's a fucking ace car).

When the sun is back out up here I will get it down onto the seafront and take some decent photos.

Feel free to use my photos again if it helps.

I like these and I'm almost disappointed that I missed out on the 75 raffle.  And I'm local(ish).  So I'd buy a ticket, but I'd need to know what second prize was first, just to give me something to be excited about.

Not tempting fate or owt but there is rumblings that this may be sold...

I reckon it was Mrs Trig's nice umbrella that did it.
