Best/Worst/Weirdest Car Names?

This post featuring a Mitsubishi "Virada" by wuvvm in the Ebay tat thread made me wonder what some of the best/worst/weirdest car names are.

 

 

 

One for the "Cars I never knew existed" thread.

 

 

Naturally I think Japan is a good starting point with their track record of being weird in, well everything. My first choice goes to the Daihatsu Naked. Bonus points from me for Keiness.

It may not be the most bizarre Japanese car name but the Mitsubishi Toppo BJ (Big Joy) Wide I spotted in N.Cyprus always tickles me.

 

Also KruJoe spotted a Mitsubishi Toppo Guppy in Thailand.

 

And there is a Mitsubishi Toppo Town Bee (pic from t'internet)

 

I remember spying a Nissan Wingroad, a Honda Airwave and a Toyota Belta in Cyprus too.

Similar theme but for me the Bongo Friendee was always surpassed by the related Kiamaster Bongo Town, which sounds like some sort of sex tourism bus to me.

Ford went through a bout of unfortunate naming on large coupes with the Probe and the Cougar.

 

The Japanese have a history of some amusing naming, as is repeatedly shown above, but I think the Chinese are rapidly catching up with them. With Geely at the forefront of today's crap car names such as:

I wanted to mention the Fluence, it seems like a remarkably strange name from a main stream manufacturer. It makes me think of witches for some reason, as in "she put the fluence on him", as in some sort of curse. Or influenza maybe. They must have realised it'd end up as effluence though, shirley?

I think I already mentioned Kuga means plague in Croat (and probably a number of other slavic languages too)
