Cavcraft Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Clean it up, remove the foglight things on the front and bang it on facebook or Gumtree for £200, you won't have it long and you'll see an absolute minimum of £150 for it if you get it running and it sounds ok. Personally, I'd hold out for at least £170.
EssDeeWon Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Are those Opel Manta alloy wheels on that Corsa??
garbaldy Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 Not sure If they are I thought they where astra GTE but could be wrong.
garbaldy Posted March 21, 2015 Author Posted March 21, 2015 Now advertising for breaking so if anyone needs any bits just ask.
Minimad5 Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Does this have that Electric PAS ?If so throw me a PM with price for all the bits, please.
bub2006 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Does it have a solid complete and not corroded rear axle?!
New POD Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Not sure If they are I thought they where astra GTE but could be wrong.1426843954012866346970.jpg NOT GTE : they had the 'iron cross' IIRC. Those are Manta wheels. If you want to swap them for 4 wheels more suited to the style of the FWD car I have some astra mk3 arctic / nova gsi / cavalier mk2 expression ones in my shed.
garbaldy Posted March 23, 2015 Author Posted March 23, 2015 Axle looks OK to me. I can take some pics if you want to see it. Not wanting new wheels for it as I am going to scrap it after saving some bits of it, if you want the wheels your welcome to the . Nothing removed as of yet so still available as a whole car if anyone wants it.
garbaldy Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 The blue corsa was also scrapped after selling a total of zero bits from it, I do still have the manta wheels and the electric power steering of it though. Here's another corsa bought over the phone for scrap money so does any body need or want any parts before it ends up in the scrappy? its a 1400 auto with just 66 thousand miles. and here's why its scrap with such low miles, its having trouble holding its oil. so if anyone wants or needs any parts give us a holler before I weigh it in.
lisbon_road Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I have a X14XE Astra with the cambelt gone for which I'd consider a cylinder head and a water pump as I have to fix it on a ridiculous budget or likewise weigh it in. You can give me a price...............assuming it is X14XE of course as I think it would be......
garbaldy Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 Are you far away if not come and help your self,
lisbon_road Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Sorry South Coast so not really a sensible option. I'm fine with arranging couriers but your call if you can be bothered with pulling it to bits!
warren t claim Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Cavcraft purchase department are heading your way with £70, some duct tape and a gallon of waste oil. The Moog, Cavcraft, beko1987 and 2 others 5
lisbon_road Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Looks like I'll have to look elsewhere for the cylinder head or get off my &*( and grind some valves in. Must admit, if I was closer, I'd be fitting a new sump to that car though. Unless loosing the oil killed it of course........
garbaldy Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Sorry about late reply bur I don't have the time to strip engine as still modifieing one of the scrotes. It does turn over on the starter and fires but thats as far as I would go without oil.
lisbon_road Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 OK fair enough. I'll get one somewhere or start grinding valves in.
garbaldy Posted June 5, 2015 Author Posted June 5, 2015 This is now dumped in yard awaiting the next load, bits still available for the time being.
garbaldy Posted June 19, 2015 Author Posted June 19, 2015 next load is going in two weeks so any parts required be quick, plastic pig is also going so I can laugh at the price
lisbon_road Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Um, I've decided to scrap the spare Astra so if you'd like the sump off it.....or someone else as it looks easy to make a decent car there (tempting fate or what!)
Cavcraft Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Is it not worth getting a second hand engine for the Corsa? These cars make ace money second hand
garbaldy Posted June 19, 2015 Author Posted June 19, 2015 Um, I've decided to scrap the spare Astra so if you'd like the sump off it.....or someone else as it looks easy to make a decent car there (tempting fate or what!) I don't have the time to fix it as to busy with arseing about with scrotes Is it not worth getting a second hand engine for the Corsa? These cars make ace money second hand the engine is ok but I don't have the time or will power.
garbaldy Posted August 5, 2015 Author Posted August 5, 2015 Roll up roll up crazy Garry's are proud to offer this prime MG rover for sale don't confuse this with the normal shite cheep cars for sale as this one is much worse, it has all the benefits of the first one I sold a few pages back but unfortunately doesn't come with added glove box tampons so you will have to buy your own,The 1400 engine is not showing any signs of making tea and the expansion bottle is filled with wine like coolant, It starts and sounds sweet with a smooth tick over until it warms up that is, once the temp warms up and the choke cuts off the revs drop to just under 1k then it starts to hunt a bit ie under 1k to 1500k but not consistent it does it intermittently and no dash lights or fault codes appear in the ecu it doesn't stall and drives well enough, the next problem is the clutch has a high bite point so I would expect it is not long to this world it does pull well through the gears so would get you hame no bother.the paint work is pretty good with a few rust spots artistically growing around the body, it also sports scratches on every panel I think the local nursery used it as a blackboard to train chimps to walk on the moon.the alloys are in good nick and the tyres do tyre type things, the half leather interior is in good condition without half eaten seats and only has slight bolster wear, the ice is working so you can rave the night away when you break down at the side of the road,Mot is the 12th October and doesn't have get you home tax, Anyone wants this then come and take it away in exchange for 19999 ono pennies Animal says buuyyy meeee raaaa yeehhh Cavcraft and mouseflakes 2
garbaldy Posted August 5, 2015 Author Posted August 5, 2015 £199.99. That is bloody cheap. I dare say with a bit of coin and some tinkering it will make a good car for someone, i am maybe being a bit harsh with the description as it drives better than the last one which sold pretty easily on the tree of bums.
Jim Bell Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 They all hunt slightly and randomly. Mine does too. Can't find any faults. No air leaks, tps changed, O2 sensor changed, Throttle body changed. Exhaust changed. They just do sometimes. saucedoctor 1
AlabamaShrimp Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Where about is it and what's the nearest train station?
