HillmanImp Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Its a 90 Quattro and if I throw it in then the daily payments will have to rise. My bad. I was hoping you would consider the act of taking it off your hands a favour and reduce the price for the MG accordingly. *Puts on best Irishy sort of slant* 'Thatt'll never be wurth anythin' that yerknaaa. dollywobbler Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I was recently being told about how revvy and good the Kettle 1.4s are. I would buy this is I didnt already excuses. Certainly true. They're pretty zingy and economical.
garbaldy Posted February 22, 2015 Author Posted February 22, 2015 Is the head gasket intact? If so AHM OOT well just for you this car appears to use water, will investigate further. Certainly true. They're pretty zingy and economical. It drives well and has plenty poke not sure about economy though as only had it round the block.
garbaldy Posted February 22, 2015 Author Posted February 22, 2015 I drove the mg today and it drives better than I expected, One front tyre is barely legal the rest are fine, it has the exhaust blow, it has a seat cover on the drivers seat covering the torn leather seat, it is using water, the temp rises and sits midway on the gauge and the heaters blow toasty hot. I have parked it on a dry area to see if its a leak as it is not steaming from the zaust. there is no oil water mix visible.
garbaldy Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 I just ran this car through car take back and it came back at £65 collected or £100 if I deliver it.
Cavcraft Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Has to be worth more than that to someone. I'd shove it on Facebook for £250, once you've got past the morons, you'll get a buyer sharpish for not too far south of that.
garbaldy Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 I only tried it out of curiosity and as a last resort. We buy any car came back at £255 so your bang on the money there.
Jim Bell Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Webuyanycar will chip you down on the day. That's my garuntee. I took them a car on a £695 quote, well described through their system and the poor fucker with the clip board walked round it looking ashamed of himself, pointing out tiny scratches and the like. When he'd finished, the offer was £400. Did you find out where the coolant was going? Cavcraft 1
garbaldy Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 No haven't had it on lift yet to investigate it properly. I filled it up to Max and it must only use it while driving as its not dropped yet. I may end up breaking it if you need owt.
sporty-shite Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Fuck me. Thought I might have a go at this, but thetrain is EIGHTY BASTARD QUID. Ahm oot. Soz!

garbaldy Posted February 26, 2015 Author Posted February 26, 2015 well 20 hours have past and I have had 19 emails,8 cash offers all very low,5 asking if I still had the car,2 general questions about the car,1 asking when the mot ran out even though its stated in the add,1 question, Hi would you swap for a hi spec gaming pc?another question,Would u swap it for a match worn 1986 long sleeves scotland home shirt very rare and vintage got 6 on the back One person asked for my phone number (even though its in add) they then called me one minute after I replied with my number, one hour later he was at the door,30 minutes after that I had cash in my pocket, That's got to be a record for the tree of bum surely, Mr_Bo11ox, oldcars, alf892 and 3 others 6
garbaldy Posted March 2, 2015 Author Posted March 2, 2015 This mg sold fairly easy so I gambled with this French shed. And in true cavette tradition here are some phone pics for you to guess what it is. This car has absolutely no brakes and I mean no brakes, lucky the trailer has a head board of it would have been in the back of the hippo the screen has a crack nearly the full length and its probably only fit for spares, Anyone brave enough to have a crack at this wants to be examined by men in white coats, so anyone want it?
garbaldy Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 Fook knows what's happened to the pics of this very smart car but it is now going to be broken for spares. Its a long shot I know but if anyone wants bits then ask away
ruffgeezer Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 The forum got hacked, we lost a couple of days worth of posts is all.
