Anyone fancy a veg-friendly Citroen BX? £300ono, name change imminent

Muffy the BX and I aren't gelling, mainly because it's not a Cavalier. It's got an MOT until October, decent amount of service history, a repaired pedal box, and 128000 miles on it. The cambelt was changed at 2 or so years ago at 92,000 miles giving 12k left until the roulette starts.

No photos at the moment as I'm away from the car in the Highlands, but there are a few on my collection thread somewhere.

£300 or so should take it. Everything electric works including the tilt/slide sunroof and both front windaes, and it is pompe Bosch so good 4 nom noming the veg.

Don't all rush at once...

Fuxake relax Barrett. I don't expect this to sell any time soon, but if you have an Allegro to get shot of...?

Can we see some honest pics of the grot please? And did that worrying lhm explosion get sorted?

It a N/A Barrett. Slower and lower geared. Not a patch on yours for motorway waftability.

Yeah, but i like the earlier ones for their looks/ single spoke wheel etc. I'd just like to have all of teh BXs tbh

Might you want a play/loan of a N/A estate over the summer if my plan comes off? (Sorry, just chucked the single spoke)

Don't worry Barrett. This is just a phase you go through. You want all of the BXs, but then you learn to cope with your craving. You learn to move on.

Then you want all of the XMs!!! Oooooh, I want a V6 to go with my 2.1TD!

Eventually, I'm about 400 miles from where I parked it and I don't expect to be able to take photies until Saturday. The LHM leak only seems to happen if it's on wheelchange setting, and if the grot and that had been fixed it would be a FUCK of a lot more.

Oh and 3-spoke wheel, n/a but cruises nicely above 69mph. It's grey, and has too much length and not enough manicness to boot.

FPB7, when you say you chucked the single spoke, I hope you mean you removed and carefully stored it?

Oh aye, it's in Wetherby. It's not really available until the Piglet 106 has a fresh MOT, too.

Righto, here's some happy snaps taken yesterday and today.

I left it on high overnight and it didn't piss LHM out of itself, so that's a good thing in my view.

Who'd've thought that 5 weeks on I'd have been grateful for some interest from gobshites, tyre kickers and cocksmokers, because at least I'd have had some interest.

The clock's ticking: insurance is up on the 31st of March, and I don't want to renew it; Buffy will soon become Brigitte. :(

Anything more than three days... this place isn't... etc.

It's been on C&C for 4 weeks, and I've had just one phonecall, and 4 or so e-mails, one of which was the "wots ur last price" (the one in the advert, cockwomble). Why should I feel guilty about not wanting it when no-one else does?!

Dont Diss the NA.

I had a 1.7 NA which was slower than a glacial erosion of Wales, but economical and pleasant to drive. The 1.9 needs a different driving approach to the TD but is no slouch.

I've got an N/A!

Half of me thinks I should get this for spares for mine but:

1. No where to break it

2. No where to keep the bits.

3. If I was to keep it complete, I've already got one exactly the same but in estate flavour. Do I really want another one?

4. The bits that I could do with are different on this one (rear suspension cylinders)

5. Run out of excuses.

I hope someone saves it, sadly it won't be me as I have none of the prerequisites to acquire and look after it.

It be manual and sadly useless to me.

An update!  A chap from Exeter came up by Megabus on Thursday, bought it and drove it home.  It needs new spheres, apparently...
